Conveniently located just 2 minutes from the A1, making it the ideal stop over for guests travelling to Pontefract, Doncaster and Leeds. Places of interest within easy access include The Mid Yorkshire Golf Club, Pontefract and Doncaster Race Course (famous for the St Ledger Race Meeting) and the popular entertainment complex Xscape.

Perfect place to stay for a weekend away in North Yorkshire. Room was great with a huge, comfortable bed, sofa and flat screen TV. Everything was nice and clean. Location is just off a busy motorway junction but traffic noise didn't keep us awake. Breakfast was on top of room rate but lots to choose from and good value. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Great value and would definitely stay here again.

It's the 1st time we have eaten here. We normally stop at ferry bridge services on the way home from scotland. Due to a change of the services we stopped here. Access from the a1 is very easy and close. They didn't have a great deal on the menu due to supplier issues as with a lot of places at the moment. But the food and service we did receive was very pleasant. Will be our new stop on the way home from scotland in future. Nice soft play and outdoor play area for the kids to play while you relax. All in all very nice

If you’re looking for a decent night sleep I wouldn’t advise staying here. Walls are clearly paper thin and people stand outside your room all night screaming at eachother, no one is ever on reception for you to say something. We had 2 nights booked only ended up staying 1 night and left at midnight for a 4 hour journey home on no sleep

Didn't stay just booked a table to go for food. 100% disappointed. Wanted Sunday lunch choice of chicken only. Not enough veg to do 4 meals so one one ended up with extra dried potatoes and peas. Food was cold gravy was thick and cold. Very very disappointed for the price it costService: 2/5

I stayed two nights in room 5, whilst training locally. The staff were all very welcoming, full English breakfast very tasty and cooked perfectly and the room very clean. I chose this hotel over two local Premiere Inns and wouldn't hesitate to return.Rooms: 5/5

Always a good place to take the grankids as have a indoor and outdoor play area ! Food was decent as usual but tonight the chicken tikka masala was a little bit watery for me but can't expect Indian quality in a pub I guess .

Stopped over here on the way further North, very convenient for the A1. Helpful staff and the room was fine. I was able to get a decent meal even though I arrived later in the day food served until 10pm. Cost of room and meal was reasonable, I would definitely stay here again under similar circumstances.Rooms: 4/5

Stopped here for two nights the rooms were nice and clean. The bed was comfortable. I had a meal one of the nights and the food was excellent. The breakfast was spot on would definitely recommend here......Rooms: 5/5

We only went to the pub and I can therefore only comment on this. The location is great, in a nice village, directly on the corner next to a dual carriageway - ideal for picking up customers. The ground was very nice with plenty of seating outside, even with a small playground. The quality of the food was alright. The choice of food was biased towards burgers - which is a shame for an English pub. But: altogether the place was filthy. We had the feeling the supervisor had a day off, together with the person cleaning and checking the toilets. They stank and according to the chart on the wall had not been checked all day. The lack of clearing up after the customers went on to the beer garden. Plenty of food and half empty glasses were not cleared away, only to the pleasure of the wasps which had a feast.
