We love Finnegan’s. The service is great. The meals are tasty. The atmosphere is authentic.Food: 5/5
We came in for a few drinks and it was beautiful nice drinks and staff a very nice atmosphere is lovely we will be back
We planned a day trip to Dalkey for my late father-in-law's birthday. The staff was lovely. We had a great lunch and toasted Bob Finnegan before setting out to explore the area. Its a very cute area and lots of nice parks with seaside views. I highly recommend.
Finnegan's is just class. For a pub in Dalkey it has decent prices, great service and lovely meals. It is a cosy place to have a pint and a chat with the locals, or you can sit outside and enjoy the weather, the flowers and the environs. Food is generous but not over the top, it is also tasty and quick. Check the specials of the day and remember it is only a lunch time feeder, not evening meals.
Great restaurant. The owner can even be seen hanging around eating and just relaxing. This was a true Irish Gem. The bartender we had did a great time talking to us and telling us interesting things about Dalkey. The Seafood chowder was out of this world with all the fish chunks in it. Could eat that chowder everyday!
Pint of ale and glass of white wine cost €15, not the most expensive in Dublin, but still expensive. The ale was slightly gone off. The taps to both basins in the gents were broken, and both hand driers in the gents were also broken when we visited on Saturday. The quality of the ale and toilet facilities are poor for such a renowned pub. I have been an occasional customer for over 25 years, and would hope they pay attention to their facilities.
The food is very tasty, the staff is friendly and the atmosphere of the place is very pleasant. lovely place. a pleasant way to end a walk in Dalkey and is very close to the train station
We stopped for a couple drinks and a bowl of the seafood chowder. The chowder was fabulous. So much large chunks of seafood. Definitely worth a try!
Excellent service, food was very tasty and the atmosphere was one where you felt like you were re in a traditional neighborhood pub where the local patrons were watching the horse races. VERY NICE!
There is no quiet area. On a match day the loudspeakers are very loud, impossible to talk. Manager is adamant there is nothing he would do about. Please remember there are also people not so interested in every match, they want to talk and should be given a quiet area.
