Great food, staff are friendly and good location. The selection of tester menus is fantastic. The restaurant is nut and gluten free. They have a selection of Dosas the big crispy pancake. Will be back again.
I love Indian food and living in Manchester, we're blessed with a fantastic array of Indian restaurants... and I may not be allowed back home when I report that I may have just eaten the best South Indian food I've ever tasted. Dakhin in Glasgow - Mancunians: it's worth a trip up the West Coast. Glaswegians: you're so lucky. The batata bonda for starters were gorgeous and the vegetable biryani was delicious especially coming with my requested spicy rather than mild sauce. It may be some time before I can move again. The tasting menus look amazing - but if I want to walk back to the hotel, it's a good thing I resisted temptation. Beautiful and simply decorated restaurant employing friendly staff.
I loved the food, it was delicious. First time I ate something really authentic South Indian food in Glasgow. Price is little higher but compared to quality it’s worth it. I will definitely visit often.
This restaurant is upstairs, you'll see the menu beside the door on the street. The atmosphere in the restaurant was buzzing. We looked at the menu but we didn't have a clue what to eat. Service was exceptional, helpful and welcoming. I wish we had the name of the person who served us, he made a couple of recommendations which gave us the tastiest meal we've eaten in quite a while. There is an option for a trio of breads which I'm glad we tried. We will definitely dine here next time we're in Glasgow. Thank you.
Beyond expectations. Good option for a gluten free menu. The spices are amazing. Service is good. And an enormous choice. Also a tip to share your dishes here and have a look in the kitchen if you're a amateur chef yourself.

Very nice food and a fantastic central location combined with very attentive and polite service make this a really good place to try on Glasgow's east end. The menu is impressively varied and can be complicated to understand but the servers are happy to patiently explain as necessary, definitely an up market experience, not your typical curry house, would definitely recommend.
I have never tasted South Indian food, so I was really surprised when I came here. It was a unique experience compared to the other indian food I have had. I did not recognize any dishes. I could not Even find Nan! Apparently you get most of your food here with a dosa which is a large crêpe made from a batter of finely ground rice and lentils. I had the seafood dosa. Which is fish and prawns chopped together. The dish was a delight! So many new spices which I have never had. Fish was perfectly cooked. I wish they had more prawns in it. Staff was also friendly and helpful.
The Dakhin was fantastic. The food was very tasty and delicious. Service too was great, food came out quickly and staff were efficient and friendly. Definitley be back there often. The Paper Dosas in picture look amazing and taste fab too.
Whether you are gluten free or not - this is hands down the BEST Indian restaurant I’ve ever been to in my life! Everything on the menu is gluten free to the extent that they are @coeliacuk approved! The food was OUTSTANDING - I had my first Dosa and my husband’s prawn curry was just outrageously good! The chutneys with the poppadoms are not like anything I’ve had before / I have had my fair share of Indian curries’ Highly recommend this place if you are ever in Scotland - make your way to the Merchant Quarter to Dakhin in Glasgow - the charming staff will win you over instantly.
