Lovely place with a lake & beautifully maintained grounds. The museum is well worth a visit & the tea room has some tasty delights. There is quite a large playground which has some water fountain features in Summer & a large cafeteria & toilets. There are some lovely woodland walks where you can take your dog & also a large Common. Something for everyone.

Fascinating history of the the rise and fall of the great industries of Merthyr. The castle is well-preserved both inside and out. Well worth a visit if only to see the beautiful views and grounds.

A nice sized woodland area with many different tarmacked paths in and out of the park. A good sized lake for a short walk round. The old school is out of bounds, but the museum side is still open.

Impresive building with a rich history. Merthyr Tydfil was built around this house initially. A tour of the house is interesting and the grounds are very pleasant. Staff are enthusiastic and friendly.
