It was a nice experience to visit this museum. Art Gallery was an added attraction. Staff members were welcoming and friendly. It's not a large scale museum but despite the size of the museum it's worth visiting and experiencing and witnessing the unique collection.nIf amazing staff members will be around: Kids may also have the opportunity to find the hidden dragon and may earn great surprise gifts.
Very good little museum which I visited on a weekday and it was very informative with many photos and exhibits. I also liked the gifts that were on sale in the shop by the entrance and bought a few items. Highly recommended.
Thanks to the friendly volunteers which gave us a friendly welcome. The exhibits are beautifully displayed. Also thanks to exhibition designer Walter for giving us more background on the photos of the coal miners and the story of the coal strike, it's well worth the visit.
Excellent and friendly museum, we visited hoping to catch the local vibe while researching my family tree in the local area.nAll staff were amazingly helpful, so knowledgeable and you can tell that love and attention go into this quaint and interesting, beautifully detailed piece of history.nWell worth a visit if you are travelling in the area, and it is free, with lots of nearby parking!
I love taking my nephew to the First Steps playgroup every Wednesday, except for school holidays. We had a lovely halloween party today.
