A truly awesome and incredibly positive experience from the moment you walk in! Studio Staff ready for you to check you in and greet you like friends do, clean facilities, lovely products hair gel, deodorant, posh shampoos and shower gels dyson hairdryers and many other perks. The classes are the best ones in London, fast paced, with heart and passion. I couldn’t recommend it more!
This branch is nice, clean and our trainer was good, the vibe is super When I compare it to my NY experience; there they provide water bottle on each bike, in London soho there was a water dispenser and no water bottle provided during the class so imagine the thirst Another thing I’m not sure if there’s any lockers room guidelines but some females were fully nude! Dunno if that’s acceptable or not
SoulCycle is my new obsession. On my 6th ride today and I love it already. Huge recommendation on this type of workout. Combination of music, dark room, low lighting, CYCLING and of course the best instructor you can have motivating you before, during and after the class. Yes, I’m talking about MJ. Check his classes out and you won’t miss.
Was an OK experience, but for the price it should be better! Pros: - Staff is kind - Great playlists, and I like the themed classes they have e.g. all Taylor Swift music or all 2000s music. - The instructor was enthusiastic and fun! Cons: - Changing rooms are small and cramped in comparison to other boutique exercise studios - They don’t sell water bottles and instead give you a steel water bottle that you can fill up at a tap. Great - environmentally friendly! But they charge £2 for this, and you have to return it when class is finished. This price feels unnecessary and if you’re offering reusable bottles that clients have to go fill up themselves, why not do so for free? - All the bikes are on the same level or at least the first two rows were, and are positioned right behind each other. The people in the front row were tall so I couldn’t see the instructor for most of the class, not see myself in the mirror to ensure I was doing it right. - The music was WAY TOO LOUD. I am not noise sensitive and never ever had this issue before, but I was conscious how loud the music was during class and both my friend and I walked out being unable to hear each other well for the hour after class, as too much loud noise exposure this is due to bending of the stereocilia in the ear. I honestly believe repeated visits could risk permanent damage. The studio does provide ear plugs though! - There is no juice bar or protein shake bar, which would’ve been nice to buy after class! That’s just a minor detail though! Overall, SoulCycle is a decent spin class but I find it neither lives up to the hype or price, and I feel there are a multitude of better spin studios in London. I fear this studio is not being innovative enough or thinking about small details, instead choosing to feed off the SoulCycle brand and hype built in NYC.
Great community vibe. I was really impressed by this. SoulCycle has an awesome skill of bringing people together. Unfortunately the workout was not monitored by the instructor. Some of the participants had set up their bike wrong but they were not corrected before starting the class. During the class there was also no technical cues or corrections. The changing rooms are hot and small. The app only allows you to book classes if you have a UK or US credit card.
Great workouts and lovely staff. I had a really good time at hip hop humpday! Would’ve liked more help setting up my bike but didn’t see much opportunity. Changing rooms are really small and quite stressful.
The changing room between classes is so chaotic and there is just not enough space in the changing room with only 2 toilets, a lot of people stood around hogging lockers chatting away instead of changing/getting ready. As a seasoned spin vet I thought I would love soul Cycle but I’m truly disappointed, I did abbeys class and found her playlist not boosting and off beat to the movements she wanted us to do. There didn’t seem to be structure to each track such as sprints and climbs and I found the continuous pulses over the bike instead of push-ups boring and unchallenging. The class isn’t accommodating to newbies/spin newbies and the class was often called out for looking ‘all over the place’ there are 63 bikes crammed in that small room with cm’s between bikes which resulted in the person to my left hitting my arm with dummbells during the dummbell workoutnot intentionally several times and not enough space between bikes to stretch. Save your money and go to a London spin studio such as boom cycle or digme fitness!
Amazing ride with Josh leading it, and bringing so much energy in the room! All instructors’s sessions are great and equivalent in terms of exercise, while their playlists are about personal taste: find the one that energise you the most, and you’ll love rides and vibes! This place wouldn’t be so awesome without Liv btw, who makes sure everyone is happy, the studio perfect!
Struggle to give a rating because I love the classes Josh and MJ are my faves but it’s the clientele and the facilities that let it down. The clientele tends to be younger and that reflects on the vibe in the cramp locker rooms where they don’t seem to have a sense of space and courtesy to others. They hang around chatting taking up space on benches. They leave used towels as well as used tissues and cotton buds yuck laying around. Some use the toilets to get changed which is annoying as there are only two women’s loos in the place. It gets worse Saturday mornings when the popular instructors are on and each class is full. So the turnover between classes is horrendous. To make it worse, the staff seems to have locked the downstairs showers which forces you to have to use the one in the women’s locker room which is not great when you just want to avoid the mayhem there. It’s a great studio for the classes and if you want to just go in and out. Otherwise using the facilities to shower and get ready will make the stress you just cycled off come back.
the most incredible environment, people, and workout ever. as soon as you walk into the studio, you are greeted with the nicest studio crew members/FOH. whether you are a first timer or a regular, they help and guide you through anything and EVERYTHING! the changing rooms have everything you could possibly think of needing before and after a workout!! the studio also has adorable SoulCycle merch, so if you show up to your class early, you can do a bit of shopping ; every single one of your achievements is celebrated, and the studio crew have a way of making you feel so special every single time you walk in. the instructors are nothing short of extraordinary. they challenge you throughout the class, guide you through all of the motions, have the best playlists EVER, and celebrate your accomplishments with you! you walk out of your workout feeling powerful, strong, and incredible. the managing of the studio is exceptional, with everything consistently staying organised, clean, and tidy. i truly have so much love for the studio crew, instructors, and the studio in general. their hard work and dedication to make sure you have the best experience at their studio really shows! i would highly recommend coming to Soul SOHO. you won’t regret it!!! xx
