This is a nice shop. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and apologised for the delay in helping us. I’d definitely come back here, as they have a nice section of products.
This is a good-sized store with most appliances/devices you could need on display. These days we order so much on-line but curry’s gives you the opportunity to view/test the item first, not many places left you can do that these days, although I’m sure the cost of stores must be wayyyy more than they pull in revenue…there’s hardly any customers in the store and I’ve been in a few times now albeit usually in the evening. I was asked by staff if I needed any assistance, but no pestered - which is the way it should be. The store was very clean.
We bought cordless hoover and air frier today in the store. Theo, the sales man was fantastic and very knowledgeable, he helped us choose the right products and he was super helpful throughout the whole process. We always shop at Currys . Our next purchase will be some Karaoke speakers
Not a bad experience per se but a little strange. I found a TV online with a better deal. As I was in a curry's I offered them to price match but they declined. No issue for me as I just bought it online but a strange business practice to turn down £1200 in sales
What's happening with your staff ? This store used to be well staffed with people willing and ready to help . Got staff ignoring your existence entirely.. had more help when shopping in the store in bletchley as they have more than 4 members of staff on their shop floor and people ready to help.
Went to Currys/PCWorld today looking for a portable HDD. Very little stock. Had a look at cameras too but there were none, just empty shelves. No staff at the checkout counter where people were waiting. On leaving the store there were two staff just outside smoking. Under staffed, under stocked and overpriced. Might as well close down.
I bought a mouse mat on Curry's online, and picked it up at the Aylesbury store. Before I put it in my bag, I decided to check it, and found that they handed me the wrong mouse mat, not the one I ordered. I couldn't leave the store with it, and it took me 20 minutes walking round the store, trying to find someone to hand the mouse mat to, as the store is seriously understaffed. When I finally found a staff member to help me, they started the refund process, but I had to leave before they finished, as the delay made me late for a doctors appointment. After I left, the staff member did not complete the refund process. I had to phone up the Curry's helpline on 3 separate days, but they couldn't refund me. They did give me the phone number for the Aylesbury store, and sent them a couple of emails. But the Curry's online help staff couldn't reach anyone on the phone at Aylesbury. I spent an hour trying to phone Currys Aylebury, but no one would answer. Every couple days I kept trying again, but no one at Aylesbury ever answered the phone. I found the staff working at Curry's online helpline to be helpful, but their system did not allow them to complete my refund, so I had to do a credit card chargeback. In the past 17 years, I've only had to do 2 credit card chargebacks, Curry's Aylesbury store was 1 of them.
Very concerned about work culture. Young gentleman was rude and dismissive towards team member old enough to be his grandmother. I was in store around midday 17/1/22 and did a manger I believe name was Nadeem to have a word with him but feel this matter should be dealt with at a higher level
The staff just hang about talking to each other and ignoring customers. One guy I managed to pull away from the group was absolutely useless, I asked him about laptops and did they have any in stock and everytime I asked him a question all I got was 'I dunno" I walked out in disgust. The management need to kick them all up the A**E.
Went the Aylesbury one today with my partner as we was thinking of getting a laptop, we ended up walking away after purchasing a laptop and we was helped alot by Jade in store, we couldn't compliment her enough was very helpful with a smile on her face and even had a little time for banter, god knows how she's not the manager and that young kid who came over Harry is as he was as helpful as a chocolate fireguard. Thank you will definitely be returning.
