The reason why I am giving Curry's this low of a review is because of how they made me drive around like a maniac. They call me about insuring a product I ordered, but I said to them that there is no need for it and before ending the call I asked if my order was ready to collect. They took down my order number and left me on hold for 2 minutes. They resume the call and tell me yes it is ready and that I should bring in my ID if I don't have a confirmation email yet. I drive to the store and one of the store staff members tell me that it won't be ready to collect until the following week. So I was confused why I was told it was ready to collect over the phone. I now drive back home and as soon as I walk through my front door, I get a confirmation email saying my order is ready to collect. I drive back again knowing the store closes in a short amount of time and they hand over my order. My question is why did the store staff member tell me it'll be ready to collect the following week? Absolutely RIDICULOUS!
Disgusting service. Went to buy a large screen TV, not one attendant spoke to us. Very poor service overall. The attendants were standing close to the entrance of the shop chatting and messing around while the customers are totally disregarded. Shameful. Maybe this won't even make a difference.... Got the TV from Costco!
Went to have a look at a couple of different TVs and compare them. Was in the TV section at the back for 10 minutes being completely ignored by staff while they messed. One member of staff, who had been helping someone else when I arrived, helped me out with a few questions, but he seems to be the only person there willing to work. 3 stars for that one staff member, 0 for the rest
VERY APPALLING SERVICE!! Definitely do not buy from them unless you are sure you aren’t going to return the item. I had the best service purchasing a TV from Currys until I requested for a refund for the item which was picked up from my home by DPD as arranged by Currys themselves! The item has been picked up for close to a month now and I have received NO UPDATE on it! I have had to call about 8 times to chase up an update from them! Not even an email to say they’ve received my return! Each time I ask for my refund they tell me I will receive it in 48hrs this was done via text, 5days, 3-5 working days etc or they are escalating it to the right team and then 72hrs come, 3 weeks, almost 4 weeks and I call back to chase and they say “the item hasn’t even been scanned at the warehouse yet so she has to also escalate it again” and it’s a cycle of excuses now! Give me my money back Currys! Clearly you have no regard for your customers you just want their money!
I really do like currys and PC world as I've been purchasing items for many a year, but there's one thing that's frustrated me recently, the constant upselling when buying any item, and the pressure to buy additional warranty and extras is getting too much. All I want to do is purchase and leave without the delay of questions.
Hi I bought a JVC 65 Inch tv online .The tv needed to be connected my own sounbar .Rang currys ,after being messed about for hours speaking to 3 people in South Africa. Second day was told to get to this Currys in Highgate. Seen the manager thier, they advised me it needs a co axial lead but I have to bring the tv back to the store . I'm thinking thier going to replace the tv.But No thier installation team came after 2 days with the SAME tv .I paid £95 to courier to bring the tv to currys, plus £45 installation charge, plus £15 express delivery. The The soundbar is still not working, another installation team comes and says the co axial cable is faulty. In the meantime time I'm catching taxi's to currys eveytime.Another installation team comes and connects the soundbar. After half hour the soundbar doesn't work again. Back to currys .This time treated very badly by the repair shop.Saying ,they will send another installation team .This time I say ,enough is enough. I've spent £250 in expenses, over a £400 tv .I want my money and my expenses back .God knows what will happen now, waiting for a phone call.Stay away fram this Highgate store .
You could walk in here. Steal the biggest telly they have and still the staff wouldn't pay you any attention. Terrible service, terrible pcs, I use the Internet now and I give pc World 3 years before they are gone the way of all the other bust high street chains who ignored their customers.
They didn't have my phone in store. The staff were reluctant to attend to me they were very attentive to the white people though. Asian brummies have "conservative views" Service, when it arrived, was shocking. A trained monkey could have done it better. Their card reader didn't work. That was a blessing, because it meant they didn't get my money. It's just a shambolic place. You're better off going anywhere else. John Lewis was always lovely. Carphone Warehouse is usually decent. Currys Highgate is best avoided.
It is a rather large conventional home appliances and ... store that I hope to remain in business. In a recent visit, my wife picked an item, we were told that it is just for display and is out of stock, and we should order it online. We checked and it was not even available online. We ended up ordering a similar product from another supplier. I am wondering what was the point of having unavailable items in display.
Decent price and helpful staff. In need of a new fridge
