With the new online ordering service this excellent restaurant is now propably the best in the area! Only the very best food at very reasonable prices, with excellent customer service and extremely quick delivery service! My congratulations, it is no surprise to anyone that you are rated so highly!
Ordered twice, shame on me. The first time the chick pea curry was undercooked and gave me a bellyache for 48 hours. A year later ordered a mixed grill which was bland and the chicken not cooked properly. On complaining the manager was so abusive. Foul language and threats. Apparently this is totally normal! How they are still in business I don’t know. Also, in another poor review legal threats have been made so this will be interesting… Update: in response to the reply. Yes it is you. Next door to Co-op. By crofton park station. Oh yes, it’s you.
Have to say I am so impressed with this place!. We have ordered a few times now and each time it has been delivered super fast and the food is piping hot we live close but other delivery services dont manage to achieve this Hands down my favourite takeaway in the area now. This feels like an old school classic Indian restaurant and I'm so annoyed that it's taken me this long to find it.
I've been a customer for over 20 years and if that doesn't say "five-star review" then I don't know what does! The food is always delicious, staff incredibly helpful and polite, and all at a reasonable price. Delivery takes a little longer than some people may find acceptable I always order directly with them rather than through Just Eat, or other such services, but you just need to plan ahead rather than expecting it on your doorstep within 20 mins. The food is worth the wait :
Incredible Indian takeaway, food quality is exceptional - family favourite for 20 years in fact, the service is the best I have received from any business around. From the manager to the delivery drivers, all are simply charming and cannot do enough for you. Seriously recommend - they won't ever disappoint!
Despite it being a Friday evening during lockdown, we did not have to wait too long. We ordered by phone, and the service was friendly and efficient. The food was fresh and very tasty. Dishes were clearly labelled, which was a nice touch. Would definitely order again.
The staff are rude and dishonest. They stole over £20.00 from my account and did not deliver the food. They then lied to just eat about delivering the food and refused to refund. I have had to go through trading standards. This place was always hit and miss anyway, sometimes the food is awful and has made my stomach upset in the past. This is the final nail in the coffin for royal tandori! Dishonest, rude and scamming customers through just eat.
One of the best Indian takeaways I've ever had! Have been using the royal for over 20 years! Won't ever think of using another place! And everyone I've ever recommended has the same to say! The food is amazing and the staff are always so polite and friendly! If you want the best! Don't go anywhere else!!!!!! The royal tandoori will always win hands down!
Wowzers. Placed our order online at 8:39 and told our food would arrive by 9:39pm. It’s now 10:50pm and still no food. Made my first call at 10:15 to ask where our food was, to be told we should have received it by now and “promised” it will be with us in “5 minutes maximum” as it was already out with the delivery driver. 15 minutes more pass, so we call again to see what’s happened, only to be told that the food was being cooked and nearly ready and would be with us in 10-15 minutes. Not only over an hour late but also not impressed being told it was out for delivery when in fact it hadn’t even been prepared. Poor. We’re still waiting, 2hrs and 11 minutes since ordering well I am, my wife has fallen asleep on the sofa. Thanks Royal Tandoori. We’ve been told we can have a discount next time we order as we paid online so no chance of a discount or a refund on this order !?, but the funny thing is I won’t be ordering again. How not to do customer service. Update - food arrived just after 11pm - over 1hr and 20 minutes late over 2 hours and 20 minutes after I ordered it. Food was ok but missing the chicken tikka starter thats supposed to be added to orders over £15 and it was missing the mint yoghurt dip we ordered. However, it’s not all doom and gloom - we did have an extra popadom slipped into our bag, which was a nice touch. All in all, a poor experience.
I have been trying for five years to find a good Indian meal in the south east London area. I have finally hit upon the perfect place! Everything was delicious, just the right amount of spices, flavoursome and the chicken very tender. The restaurant even delivered ten minutes early! Cannot recommend enough A****
