Visited betws y coed last week because when I searched Google it seemed one of the best areas in Wales for walking shops. I was in need of we pair of hiking boots. I briefly entered a couple of the other shops but their boot range was a little poor and really only designed for the ocalcasional walker who didn't plan going up a mountain any time soon. I use my walking boots almost every day and do put them in some rough terrain and up the odd mountain so wanted a substantial pair. I visited Cunningham's,tried a couple of pairs with the help of a very friendly gentleman. I narrowed it done to a pair of meindls , they were £200. To be sure before I bought them I asked if they could put them by for half and hour whilst I just checked the last few shops as £200 is a lot to spend and you want to be sure. Well 15mins later I returned and bought them. Couldn't bear the staff in their and so glad I spent the money. Next day 7miles hike up some steep terrain in the fog and the boots didn't fail once to keep me gripping to the slippy rocks and muddy hillside. Thanks Cunningham's.

Fantastic shop that myself and the family have used for years. Always friendly and knowledgeable service. Its not cheap but good quality gear never is...

Great outdoor shop and a good stock of Jack Wolfskin products. Friendly staff that know the area and can answer most questions.

Nice people who are good at what they do. No cynical marketing or data capture tactics here just plain honest good service. To a previous reviewer... ...if you want a plastic bag you have to pay for it - IT IS THE LAW in Wales, not an option at the discretion of the retailer
