Great shop. The staff seem to love working at the store, they’re all outdoors people and are very knowledgeable about the kit they sell. They also have excellent local knowledge about walking and weather, so if they ask if you need any help say yes and get chatting. Good selection of kit and a tempting selection of kit you didn’t think you needed and probably don’t, but end up buying anyway. They have another shop half a click up the road that sells some lovely lifestyle but practical outdoor clothing.
Man with grey hair and pony tail in boot department very rude. Chatting with friends and blanking customers. I had to complain to an assistant in a different department who then kindly helped me buy my boots. What a difference between two employees. Thanks to the nice one, he was excellent.
Staff was very helpful in returning stuff after Christmas and what they did not have in stock they ordered and sent to my home address.
Required a new waterproof jacket and trousers. Staff were helpful and located what I was looking for. One item was in the sale at a very good price. For the other item the staff member was able to provide a number of options meeting my requirements.
One thing service was great but the cards are quite forceful saying “ JOIN US ” not even a please or anything i dont think i would feel very welcome joining you

Husband purchased new walking boots for me. Sales assistant knew his stuff and learnt about tying boot laces and aftercare of boots. Husband also bought a rucksack. Staff knowledge was good about the products. Got blue light discount too.
Very pleased with my purchases. Cotswold is an excellent reputable retailer. Purchased Scarpa walking boots and other items, was highly impressed by the customer service at the store, in particular Mark gave outstanding customer tailored service. All is well. Would buy again.
I just bought a pair of boots from here and the service was excellent. Mark took the time to find the perfect type and fit for my needs and my odd shaped feet and was a pleasure to talk to during the process. He even showed me how best to lace my boots for my foot shape which will definitely make a word of difference for future walking. If you want to invest in a pair of boots that will be right for you, this is definitely the place to go!
