Charming cricket ground. It first hosted a cricket match in 1892 and has since hosted many games. It has a quintessential English feel to it that makes it the perfect place to take a sarnie or s glass of wine and watch a lazy game in the low summer sun.
Very little space to watch the matches. Parking is an absolute nightmare. Also, whatever you do, don't bring children here to watch as they will be treated as 2nd class citizens. And this is coming from someone who is a paying social member with 2 family members that are playing members.
Umpired here in the prem league. Really nice friendly club. Lovely setting and you can get refreshments from the bar
Above surrounding tree lined valleys the pitches nestle next to the grand mansion. Both perfectly prepared squares served our players well with great hospitality from the home side. Thank you. Views to South charming, over pitches to mansion classic and to the North classic cricket scenery. Oh and bacon butties tasty too.
