£280 to find out the issue was what I'd said it was in the first place. Mixed feelings here - I showed up at the agreed time and no one was there so waited for 20 minutes before dropping the key through the letterbox, not a huge issue but was my first concern. It was hard to get hold of anyone during their posted opening times and it was another 4 days before I heard back - I'd been told by the MOT garage that the issue with my wiper jet was probably a faulty switch and it ended up taking KMAC 8 hours to figure out that it was the switch and I was charged £280 for the time spent diagnosing what I'd already been told it was. Felt quite ripped off price wise but I cannot fault the work, hence the 2 stars still.
While I’ve been in Bury St Edmunds for the 3 years that I have, I’ve used KMAC. I had my catalytic converter stolen by thieves and they replaced it for and repaired the exhaust pipe that was damaged during the theft. They’ve done every one of my MOTs and all the repairs that go along with them for a good price and fair timing. Kevin the owner has always been a pleasure to do business with, great with responding; if he doesn’t pick up he’s probably busy with a customer in the shop. My girlfriend was quoted £1,500 for some damage to the body of her car but Kevin fixed it for £600. Seriously, amazing work.Services: Battery

I took my Audi to KMAC because I wanted an Audi specialist in Bury and did not want to pay main dealer prices. They are very friendly and do quality work at a much better price than main dealer. I saved hundreds of pounds on replacing the rear suspension. They are very busy so you do need to be able to leave your car with them but it is worth the wait. Excellent customer service, I was kept updated with progress and expected costs.
Kev's a great guy, honest, transparent and affordable. Do yourself a favour, support him and not the big chains who don't care!
Really good customer service and very honest !! My Mitsubishi rear wheels drums got seized and couldn’t move my car at all, so Kevin help us to get back on the road, he travelled from bury to Haverhill on 31st of December 6 pm, and we needed the car to go london! Thanks to him we made it. We will always recommend him o family and friends!
I have been to Kevin with 2 different vehicles now, the first was my focus in which he fixed an airbag fault for me, he spent 4 or so hours on it from daylight to darkness to ensure it was fixed as it had an mot the following day..Fantastic...Then yesterday dropped my Citroën off to him to analyse it to see what was wrong? Then today our it was fixed and running better than it was when we bought it 6 wks or so ago..driving like a train now...Brilliant, we could not be more pleased....Fabulous value for money too.
