Very nice walk if you like Narnia books/movies. The writer lived in this neighbourhood! You can get a map inside the coffee shop of all the statues location. On the wardrobe you can read a bit about the work of CS Lewis. It's also nice to take pictures :Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Good park to hang out at. Get to take a picture of the lion of Narnia. Problem is, it is far from town centre, so wouldn't recommend if you are there to see the square only. The walk to the square is filled with murals that are interesting Newtownards Rd, which made the journey nice, but otherwise, would only recommend if you have time to visit.
I've always loved a little dander around here, growing up with the stories and then realising they were created so close to home, always felt so magical There are plenty of amenities near by, so its lovely to grab a drink, maybe something to eat and have a walk around on a sunny day.... also kind of peaceful on a rainy day if you take an umbrella, clear the mind
Nice small square nearby Connswater shopping centre. Narnia fans will enjoy taking pictures with the familiar characters. There is also an urban market here on every 3rd Sat of each month which is well worthing visiting.
Cool park Square for a man worthy of honoring. Wish Aslan was sculpted to be mightier. Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo

CS Lewis Square is not much more than a small park. However, it is free to enter and roam as well as filled with a handful of statues which bring figures of his Chronicles of Narnia to life. I came in the morning and was effectively the only person around. I spent about 15-20 minutes in total walking around, attempting to take the perfect pictures, and otherwise admiring the work. If I knew folks heading to Belfast, I would recommend they try to work in a visit, especially if they were already in the area. I would not advise drastically changing your schedule to incorporate nor spending heavy for transit to get there if it were significantly out of the way. Hopefully that guidance helps in planning if you should or should not plan a visit!
We came to Belfast with intentions on visiting here first. It didn't disappoint. We arrived late in a taxi and the information area had closed but that didn't put us off. We enjoyed the search for all the different characters and taking photos of the murals. The park was busy with kids and adults roller skating. We actually returned the next morning when the information centre and cafe was open. If you have read the books or seen the movies, you will enjoy this amazing park dedicated to C.S. Lewis and his writings. May the upkeep of this square continue and be enjoyed by all.
Lovely creative area with statues from CS Lewis's characters in his Narnia books. eg The Lion, placed high on a hill, the white Witch, the Wardrobe etc. The Eastside Visitor's Centre, at the Square, has a lovely Cafe and nicely displayed information on the Eastside of Belfast. The cafe is called Jack's Cafe after CS Lewis's forename and is a great place to relax, with a nice coffee and light eats.
This is a great stop for any C. S. Lewis fan. If you are visiting by car, please note that the parking in the area is horrible; I don't recommend trying to park close by. The park itself is quite pleasant and full of public art. I suggest that 20-30 minutes is more than enough time to enjoy the area.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
