I wanted to post this review because the council communication is unbelievably slow and only spoken to one member of staff that is remotely positive. I don't blame the staff but management as I assume it is massively understaffed but to get anything done in relation to CIL takes weeks and months and when this could be at a cost of losing your house buyer its quite frankly a joke. I think there can only be improvement as it can't get any worse.
Absolutely shocked!! I received PCN which I appealed, and after rejection with no clear reasons and no verification code of rejection, I paid the original penalty. Today I am receiving another letter saying that the amount is being increased -- DURING MY APPEAL PERIOD... Omg and there was no representation made by my side... Clear lack of information- as I do have the whole information in writing and pictures as well.. I will now take this matter to court as I am not happy someone to telling me I am lying. What a shame.
Apart the automated message constantly encouraging residents to use a faulty website, when I did manage to get to an operator in the Bins/Environment section, Barry was very understanding, thorough with his job and all round great with customer service.
Zero stars. Where do I begin. What have you done. What have you done to this place. What have you done. Corrupt lazy people. This place used to be alright. The house prices went up as they were supposed to build an underground station. Then, they were supposed to build Westfield. Now it's the worst town centre. Over crowded. Smelly, messy, depraved people who are wandering around. Feels like I'm in the walking dead when in croydon. Needs a new council. The amount of new building that are coming up all around croydon. But you can't even fix the town centre. Fix the place. It's already too late. But please someone do something
Workers of the Croydon Council make the Council worst. Many people agree that you need to phone 100 times Council for a single matter which mostly can be done in a day. Employees do not know what they are doing and gives wrong information, worst cases they say they will get back to us but never do until you need to remind them 100 times. Sadly, our Council tax is going up each year as we are paying it but Council seems to only care about feeding their employees.
In contrast to other folks, who were unable to have the calls answered, someone did pick up my phone, but is incredibly rude. Very very rude never let me finish and angry at me for no reason after pronouncing my name incorrectly.
Croydon council is the most terrible council in London. Most of the staff are not transparent neither professional. I was allocated a property 6 month ago and it is my worst nightmare. The council knew that my son has special needs and they forcefully took me out of the accommodation that was suitable for my son needs to a place where the next door neighbour continuously make noise at any time of the day. I have been calling, crying, and complaining about the current situation to the council but they were garment. I have asked for the council to rehousing me to suitable accommodation but nobody cares. My son is depressed and so are my. Most of the saff are disrespectful and don't know when and how to speak to tenants. That is why most people in Croydon Borough are depressed and developing mental health issues. The council is in a mess and they need to bring suitable and professional people to work with service users in the Borough.
Pauline carter from council tax reported my innocent elderly mother , to the fraud department horrible piece of work. With false allegations… the department couldn’t do nothing as my mother was innocent. I suggest you do your job correctly and get your facts straight before you open your mouth with your incompetent self!!! Croydon council also charged and billed my mother £7000 for a council tax bill and falsely summoned her to court it wasn’t even her property , or neither did she ever live at this address. Croydon council are in millions of debt so they try to bill and charge and target the elderly to retrieve money’ Please read the evidence below, this is what Croydon council do to people send , them to court and don’t even apologise or compensate them ! After a court summons !!! Unbelievable They fought my mother for months accusing her!! They didn’t immediately remove her name!! NOTICE please check on any elderly or vulnerable persons you may know, that they are not being targeted by Croydon council they are the biggest fraudsters.
Why do the staff lie so much. I was told someone would get back to me over a matter of my email being blocked. I have unlimited call and was waiting for 2hrs and nobody got back. Tried new email address was still the be same. Croydon is a jungle where nobody really care and they give us a lecture about being polite to the staff. There has been one person I have dealt with in person who has been so helpful. My one star represent zero
Didn't send an initial PCN and now sending me letters threatening to send bailiffs to enforce an non existent writ. No way of appealing and didn't respond to emails. I know they're short on money but this level of fraud is pathetic behaviour expected only of criminals, con artists and the like!
