This is our favourite place for a country pub meal. The best though is the carvery... Top quality food and generous portions. Excellent service and good variety of drinks.
Carvery was lovely and reasonably priced and enjoyed the blackberry and apple crumble for dessert. Children's meals were also good. was very busy pub and restaurant, booking recommended. Staff were obviously very busy but other than waiting for a few minutes when we arrived to be seated they were attentive and friendly

We visited today for the first time and unfortunately it will be the last time our group consisted of 9 people and we were booked for 12 midday 7 were having carvery 1 was having scampi and 1 was having a salad. It took half an hour to get the to head up to the carvery it then took till 13.40 approx for the table to be cleared it then took till 14.00 for someone to take orders for dessert at 14.15 the waitress was asking us to vacate the table ASAP as they had another party waiting at the bar, but unfortunately very poor service and wrong orders taken was the only reason we were still there after the permitted 2 hours very poor show
As ever we had a wonderful meal. We’ve been coming here for several years and the standard has never dropped. The service is always good and friendly. The prices are very reasonable. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Crown for a good night out.
Traveled 12 miles to try this rated carvery only to be told “ no food due to the hot weather! So very bad service, will not recommend or visit again. Went to an Indian restaurant to celebrate my birthday, thank goodness for some hard working staff .
Amazing yummy food. The portion of chips are huge, they come in aronther bowl. This was the chicken and mushroom dish under the grill section of the menu.
Loved it. Excellent food . Friendly helpful staff who all make you feel so welcome. 10 / 10 I highly recommend the Crown.
Recently moved into the area and this place is a Gem! Lush food, great value and the customer service is amazing. The Diet can start next week.
