wow music to loud. 2 members of bar staff. 20 min wait at the bar. they weren't expecting a busy night. lots of people left due to staff shortage behind bar. ow and 2 people dragged out for snorting coke of toilet cistern .

The Crown offers good food at reasonable prices and all the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. But really, everyone just comes to interact with Joshua - the radiant demi-god behind the bar.

Went in for a quick lunch while in the area as it used to be a haunt of mine 40 years ago when it was an old rockers bar with a bit of a bad reputation. I was pleasantly surprised by the good food and excellent friendly service I recieved and obviously it has been updated since with a pleasant decor and nice ambience.
