6 Degrees North

About

Craft beer bar located in Glasgow's west end. We serve beer from the finest breweries in the UK, Belgium and afar.

Story

Born from a passion for Belgian beer, Six°north brewery has been on the go since early 2013 with the concept being in blue-print for over a decade.

Starting high up in the East Coast is where it all began with our own brewery - www.facebook.com/Sixdnorthbrew/. Brewing exclusively Belgian styles, we always wanted our very own arenas to showcase our product. By mid 2013 we saw the opening of the very first bar dedicated to the brand - www.facebook.com/Sixdnorthabz
This derived from local amenity and long standing establishment - The Marine Hotel - Which stands as a local bar, restaurant and hotel in its own right but still connects to the Six°north name serving the same draught and cask beers Aberdeen does.

So the time has come for six°north to venture into Glasgow!
Launching our 3rd venue will bring Six°north brewery favourites, Belgian classics & the UK's finest beers to the west. With 4rth venue in Edinburgh shortly to follow.

Accompanying this daily festival of beer comes our ‘Petits Plats de Cuisine a la Bière Belgique’. A selection of small plates reflecting Beglian cuisine and infused with beer!
New tastes - Old fashioned service

The place is nice, the service good and friendly and the selection of beers excellent... But being the first clients did not help for the burger... Certainly to test again!
Lovely bar which opens up the French doors to the fresh air and with tables and benches outside. Great selection of beers and ales, though expensive. 2/3 of a pint costs £4.50 which I work out as £6.75 per pint!
Food is always amazing and have never disappointed. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly, good atmosphere, even free WiFi! One thing I would mention is that, over the years, the selection of beers seems to have gotten smaller? Please don't get me wrong, the tap selection is still extensive and for my faults I didn't check out what was in bottles this time. But I couldn't help but notice that the drinks menu had been cut down drastically, and what was offered on taps was a little less varied than usual for example it seemed to be very IPA heavy and a lot less Belgium beers than normal. It could just be that I came in on a tap list that just didn't work for me this time around! Still a five star place, still love it. My one request is you keep stocking Bombini!
Amazing selections of beer over 30 choices lining up at the bar and great atmosphere make it easily be a must go in town.
When Six Deg's predecessor , "VELVET ELVIS" : "The playpen of the Glasgow Harbour professional"... closed, many Partick Punters were most disappointed. This place however, is a more than acceptable alternative. Hosting an extensive eclectic beer menu selection , containing some bizarre brews, it's nice to work through some of the strangest of €uro beers- draft schooners and bottled. Food's good also. Try the hollowed out cob loaf filled with broccoli & stilton soup pictured....
Lovely selection of Scottish Craft Beers made in Stonehaven in the North East and Guest Beers. They also stock an extensive Bottle List meaning you'll never be stuck for something to drink!
Good beers, food, service and Wifi for watching cycling on laptop etc. Extra kudos for doing something a bit different in this area. Heads up. No food during the day on Monday or Tuesday and you can't bring a sandwich in - star :
Great beers, excellent food and amazing service in a great setting.
Another gem in westend. Great selection of good quality beers which is the main attraction. Food very good and generous portions. Layout is very good but decor looking tired and in need of freshening up. We will definitely be back especially as it is dog friendly.
Great bar. Great beers. I've had a real good time.
