My wife took our 4 year old and twin 2 year olds out for a drive around, exploring the countryside around where we live. She decided to try a gated road which soon turned slushy so decided to turn around and got stuck on the grass verge! 
After a couple of hours trying to dig her way out and getting nowhere by now the kids were very cranky and hungry, she googled 'tow recovery' which came up with Crouch Recovery as they were in the next village along.
She was told over the phone that worse case it would cost £250, yes she accepted it but who wouldn't when you've got screaming kids and you're all starting to get cold?!!
It took them an hour and a half to get to her. They towed her back three feet so the front wheels were off the verge and charged her £300!!!! 
I phoned Crouch myself as I thought that was disgraceful but all I got was "your wife accepted the quote" of course she did, she was desperate and really cold!!!
I know it's a business but taking advantage of vulnerable people is really low!

These guys are the worst you can ever find! AVOID & USE SOMEONE ELSE BUNCH OF COW BOYS! They lie to you about where they are, they lady who waa the driver - very selfish, rude and abrupt. No knowledge of customer service. Gerrard the night manager - absolute joke with a chip on his shoulder. Let me buy you a book about customer service - this is what your company needs! You dont even deserve ONE star!

Im on M1 for 4 hours, and they are still on the way :)) 4 phones and 5 msg with "you are a priority" :)) so.. if the world will end now.. i will not call for recovery at them .. ever !!

After 37 years tramping and numerous breakdowns I can honestly say the service I received today was absolutely 1st class , from the initial diagnosis to the the recovery couldn't wish to meet 2 nicer lads , there a credit to your company . Kev, Redway European.
