I spent years living around the Finsbury Park/Haringey/Manor House area, and as a result, I have been lucky enough to eat some of the best Turkish food that London has to offer, and a lot of it. It's sister restaurant Sumak a few doors down is probably the best Turkish in London, but if that is the best, this is the second best, and much more cost effective option. The meat is amazing, the bread is grilled and flavoured to perfection, the chilli sauce is perfect - to this day I have not found a better one. Salads always fresh and dressed perfectly. Rice so wonderfully flavoured, and Turkish tea offered along with a take your time. This is one of THE best takeaways in London, and wherever I am in the world, I still sometimes think of Best Kebab and wished they were near me. Absolutely fantastic.
Absolutely delicious food and worth every penny, they're not stush on the portion size. Plenty enough and high quality food. Can't recommend enough. Hope this level of quality stays consistent.
I order from this place all the time, and its usually very good. But I ordered a doner last night, and as i was chewing it, there was a small piece of bone inside the doner which destroyed half of my teeth, i am now left with a broken tooth and a big dental bill. All this because i wanted to eat doner, i will never order from here again, this is a ridiculous.
Discusting kebab id rather give my £9.50 2 a homeless person is which i did with the kebab never going back there again the guy didn't even wear gloves when serving my food im gonna complainin 2 the food hygiene and they got a 5star rating dont no how. wiping hes nose while putting my donor meat into a pitta bread .i new i should have went 2 kfc insted better food n alot cheaper
Good local kebab. 2 large kebabs and once portion of chips for £20. Meat was good quality, pita was a bit small and salad on the scarce side however there were 8 pieces of chicken and 4 of lamb sish.
Not bad for the local area, not many other sit down kebab house takeaway options. Food is fresh and so is the salad. The sot down service is up there, they do look after their customers. Good options to choose from, have to say the chicken doner was very flavourful. I find the food a little pricey in comparison to other kebab house places that you would get in North London but I guess it is Hornsey, so the prices to reflect the postcode. Fairly decent portions. Worth a bite.
Amazing kebab . Couch End kebabs are extremely delicious, we had it for dinner on Mother's, all my children enjoyed it especially my five year old,she love the Shish kebabs. The season bread is super, super delicious a must try. Well done Couch End Best kebabs the name says it all.
Decent kebab takeout place in the local vicinity however a bit too pricey. Make sure to specify what portion you are ordering otherwise they charge you for large portions. £9.50 for meat and chips and they sometimes give you bread with dips. I think if you don't ask then they assume you don't want it. I did notice them serving bread with dips to all Turkish customers and giving takeaway to their regulars. Service is not the best.
Was recommended this place however, the food was very salty. Also I was overcharged. The staff weren’t friendly either.
They hold back on the food - food not the greatest but its descent just not enough for the money you pay - won't be going back as what's the point if I'm still hungry afterwards.
