I’ve only tried a couple of dishes and they were tasty, not amazing, but good. The thing with London is its very hard to find good authentic Pakistani food outside east London so standard Indian restaurants are just the default place I order from as choice is so little. I might give this place 4 stars were I not so particularl! Delivery is often quicker than time given but staff can be little frustrating to talk to when trying to get them to understand your preferences etc.

After passing The Tiffin Tin a couple of times on the bus and thinking how great the shop looks, my partner and I decided to order a take away from there last night. The menu feels more unique to the restaurant, carefully selected dishes shows me that they care more for the meals they prepare. That's not to say the menu is obscure, you're bound to find your favourites and classic dishes as well as some more exotic dishes you might never have heard of, and there is also a weekly chefs special that you can enquire about. We ordered a popular side dish - Tarka Daal, two mains, a rice, bread and riata which came to £30. A fair price, which was further supported by how amazingly prepared the food was! Perfectly sized portions which had been vacuum sealed and numbered, with our bill attached to the bag telling us which number was which meal. The food it's self was amazing, I had Paloong Gosht (lamb) and it was cooked perfectly - none of that chewy chunks of meat, it was all tender and tasty! My partner had Murgh Lasune (chicken) and was equally impressed! Each dish had its own unique aroma, you could taste the herbs and spices used and honestly I could tell the chef had a passion for their craft. Overall this was one of the best Indian takeaways I've had in years! I didn't even think to take a photo because I just wanted to dive in, and when it was finished I was genuinely upset, despite being way, way to full! I will be ordering again, and if you're thinking of giving it a try I say go for it! Cheers Tiffin Tin folks, you done good!

Ordered Murgh Dansak and came with just 4 small pieces of over cooked and dry chicken. Similarly the sauce was over cooked/reduced resulting in one of the driest and most tasteless curries I have ever had. A real shame as the West Hampstead Tiffin Tin is excellent. Never failed me in over a year. However first time using this Hornsey one and I will never order from here again. Well below the West Hampstead store standard and well below standards set by most Indian takeaways in London.

We usually love this take away but after a previous episode of being delivered the order with missing items and this time having a delivery that was 45 mins late we won't be getting our take away again from the Tiffin Tin. The food is always delicious but today turned up luke warm, they offered us a free starter because of the delay and then ended up giving us the whole meal for free because it was so late but sadly the order wasn't complete anyway. The starter was not what we ordered and we were missing our naan but had enough poppadums for a small army. Sad to say we won't be coming back.
