We've just returned from a 2 night stay at the Cromwell arms. We were visiting friends and it happened to be the Green Man Festival on on the Saturday and it was a lovely thing to see. We had the family room right upstairs in the eaves. We had a meal in there with our friends on the Saturday evening all went for the Ribeye steak at £23.95 we thought what a bargain well what can we say absolutely delicious so tasty we went for the port and stilton sauce and if I was forced to say anything that you would change I would say the sauce could've been thicker very runny but don't let that put you off it was delicious. We also had breakfast in the hotel and one thing we were really impressed with it was piping piping hot so much so you could see the steam coming off the breakfasts. Very friendly and accommodating staff and we would definitely stay here again love love loved it
Lovely pub with large free car park. Central location in this small town on the edge of Dartmoor National Park. Excellent food in the evenings, with a warm atmosphere in the bar. Our stay included breakfast, which was a bonus for us. Dog friendly, with walks from the town.
We walked from Parke & originally planned to eat at Buckfast Abbey. However we came across the Cromwell and we were very happy with our choice. Lovely place, friendly, warm, good service, good ales and great food. We both had a roast and it was as good as the Abbey. I had a lovely pint of Timothy Taylor Landlord, with Jail Ale & Tribute on offer as well. We will certainly be going back and plan to meet friends there. Highly recommended.nnWe returned again in June and we were again very happy with everything. Great food, beers, atmosphere & staff
The most amazing little pub,hotel we've stayed in. Everything was spot on, food, staff, accommodation, we even took almost the entire car park with our vans and motorcycle but the locals just welcomed us and got on with it. 100% will be back.
Recently had our second stay at the Cromwell Arms. The room was perfect for what we needed and had an en-suite bathroom. The overnight stay also included breakfast, with a choice of cooked breakfast, eggs Benedict, porridge, cereals, toast etc. We were visiting family in the area and the accommodation is located in the town. There is parking at the rear and we’ve never had any issues finding a space. The staff are really friendly and we have already booked to stay again.
