This was my first visit to Bovey Fish Bar, there's not really any on street parking, there were several cars parked on the double yellow lines outside the shop. There is a pay to park area about 300 yard's away.nI chose cod & chips, £11. I had to wait for a few minutes as the fish was cooked to order but it was worth the wait as it was a lovely piece of cod with a large portion of chunky, not greasy chips, with a wedge of lemon & a pot of tartar sauce.nThis is about 40 miles from home but I was working on the A38 nearby so I thought that I'd see if it was any good? The answer is Yes! If I'm in the area again I'll come back for some more.
First time here service was good, fish & chips were excellent not greasy. Only downside was only take cash so had to walk down hill to tesco to get cash & back up again. Would i go again ? Definitely 100%
Had nice fish and chips there. Lots of chicken ballsnAll fresh and great price. Spesh the meal deals.
Perfectly cooked fresh haddock and chips! 10/10 Crispy batter, succulent fish, lemon and tartare included. Chips lovely and fresh, good mix of chunky chips and a few crispy bits. Asked how I’d like it wrapped and how much S&V. Friendly service and great food, will visit again!
Food was lovely but 2 of our burger meals had no chips in the box
