Very good food and friendly staff. Well priced

Room was spacious and, being at the back of the hotel, very quiet. We had a twin room with en-suite. Beds very comfortable - firm without being hard. Usual facilities, nice touches included a proper wardrobe and dressing table  and plenty of electrical sockets. No aircon  (is it really needed in the UK? ) but a good-sized fan is supplied for the odd day when it gets too warm! The bathroom was modern and very clean - about the only downside was the shower flow which was a bit weak buto then again we're used to a power shower. Still did the job though! 
Perhaps just a bit dated describes the decor but personally I  found this to be part of the charm of the place - like an old  country coaching inn in some ways
The location is also good - easy access to the trough of Bowland and East Yorkshire, Blackpool and the Fylde coast or the  lake district and Cumbrian fells.
Would I stay here again? Most certainly!

It was a very pleasurable and enjoyable stay, the staff were very pleasant and helpfull. The  rooms were very nice and clean. I'm definitely hoping to return sometime soon.

Food was amazing. Greater atmosphere.  Pool table is free so we did take advance. Lovely and traditional pub
