Had a fear of dentists all my life after visiting butchers as a kid!! Anthony is the best dentist ever, I’ve just had root canal and didn’t feel a thing. He really is a credit to this dental practice and to the NHS. He is very friendly and takes time and care to make sure you are informed and calm. Such a professional and takes his time and doesn’t rush. Reception staff are also friendly and welcoming. So lucky for myself and family to be able yo be registered here. Who knows…I might even start to enjoy my visits soon
My daughter saw Dr Anthony today and all I can say is, it has been the best & most informative dental appt we've ever had. He was extremely professional, helpful, friendly & gave loads of advice and explanations. Dr Anthony did a thorough check of my daughters teeth and took a thorough and precise history. I'm just so impressed with Dr Anthony. My daughter is now not dreading going for her next check up!!!!
Really disappointed with how this practice treats their patients. As a member of staff at UoN, I was a regular patient for over a decade but paused attendance for two years during the pandemic in the interest of public safety. When I returned to the practice after things had settled down I was told my registration had been cancelled due to this lapse. I have since learnt that several colleagues at UoN had their registration cancelled during the pandemic for the same reason. To make matters worse, anyone who lapsed in this way is blacklisted and forbidden from ever registering again as an NHS patient at this practice. This is in contrast to new UoN staff who have been allowed to register. It is staggering that a healthcare provider would adopt such a punitive measure to patients who chose to take extra precautions during the pandemic >>> Just to follow up on the response below from the practice. Actually, they are not correct. I came into the practice, as I stated, once the pandemic had settled I can’t remember the exact date but think it some time late 2021 or early 2022. I was told then I had been taken off the list and couldn’t re register. I didn’t delve into the details. I did return this week in Sep 2024 for two reasons: I thought it was a quieter time between academic years so would have more chance of registering and I had learnt a little more about the unequal treatment of patients . Frankly, I found the team to be rather dismissive
Definitely would recommend this dental centre! Anthony who is my dentist is very professional and is so welcoming and understanding of the patients needs and wants. Always makes sure to ask if there are any concerns or anything else needed. Such a credit to have a dentist like him in this centre. The Receptionist staff are also lovely and help as and where needed. credit to the team
Terrible , One of the worst services I’ve had in life ever! Firstly, I’ve had 3 dentists at Cripps , first guy was ok had a few appointments cancelled by him short notice but was pre Covid so got in again pretty quickly after and he was polite never rushed . He left, Second was Anna I think here name was and I had nothing but problems & pain even incidents where she didn’t use anaesthetic correctly and I was put in awful pain. The last dentist was Anthony who up until I was kicked out was the only reason I still came to cripps. Anthony is a good dentist and repeatedly told me almost everything Anna had done was wrong , when I questioned him about why, he went quiet like she didn’t have a licence to work in the uk or something …. My recent experiences have been shocking , I was booked in at cripps but sadly found a lump on my throat so had to have surgery. The surgery was two days before my dental appointment with Anthony . I called up and cancelled they said no problem call back after your surgery we will get you in. I called up to see Anthony after my surgery to be told I’ve been kicked off the list for missing an appointment! I spoke to the receptionist who all had a bad attitude to say the least she then told me I’ve been kicked off the list for abusive behaviour and lack of communication!! Total lies , swear to God this is all fabricated and really is disgusting behaviour and lies by the surgery employees. In the uk in 2024 it’s absolutely appalling to be treated like this by a healthcare operator. It’s taken me months to get into another dentist. I look forward to your response as reading all your other bad reviews you seem to have answers all similar but then again the complaints are similar too…. No smoke without fire they say. I would lastly like to state I believe Anthony is a good dentist the issues lay with management and front of house.
Zarina is an amazing dentist, I can't praise her enough! I have had two emergency appointments with her and I couldn't have asked for a better service. I am a nervous dental patient and Zarina really put me at ease, she explained everything really well and made me feel confident in the treatment. She has a lovely manner, friendly, welcoming and relaxed and I am very grateful to her.
Fantastic Dental Centre. Anthony is just AMAZING! He is professional, takes immense pride in his work and always puts his patients at the heart of what he does. Thank you for being the best, you're an absolute credit to Cripps and to the NHS too :-
the receptionists are so rude and condescending. i have autism and hence find it difficult to understand information. they yelled at me, making me cry as i didn’t understand them : - not accommodating at all, i am disappointed
I've been a patient for over a decade. In that time I've had various dentists and work ranging from check ups and a cleans to a dental implant thank you Neil and Tej. I have found the quality of work and communication to be consistently high. My wife and daughters have had the same experience. There's a waiting list because dental treatment is in high demand in the UK and the quality of care here is high. Very much recommended.
I tried to get a emergency appointment back in November I was told I'd be put on a waiting list. They rang me a week later to tell me I could attend an appointment that was in 45 minutes of which I explained I was working away and wouldn't get to in time. They then rang me a few days after that offering me two days notice but it was in the middle of night shifts for me and I explained I'd need to see if I can swap my shifts with someone to attend and the receptionist said I could say yes or no immediately if I booked it and then cancelled I'd be fined a cancellation fee and they couldn't hold the appointment while I spoke to my work to which I said well it's safer for me to say no then as I don't know if I could swap my shifts to attend and she very rudely and aggressively said as it was the second emergency appointment I was "declining" she would have to remove my name from the list and I've received no further contact regarding emergency appointments. I ended up having to pay to go private just before Christmas. I understand it's a busy practice and there's clearly high demand but it's the rude and aggressive reception staff that's a serious problem at this dentist. Especially for those of us who have a phobia of the dentist and it takes a lot for us to even call to book an appointment. Reply to comment made: I was called 3 times total. They never gave me chance to see if I could swap my shift to attend the second appointment offered even when I asked could I ring them right back. They forced me to decline the second appointment offered that is not having a patients best interest at heart that is bullying and coercion. I was working night shifts it's not like I can just nip out in my working day to attend I needed five minutes to call work and that was not allowed by the Cripps reception staff. If that's them caring I'd hate to see how they treat patients on a bad day of theirs.
