Great pub, a real pub with a bit of character to it and a beer garden around the back. The log fire is always a bonus, kept us feeling toasty whilst we sat and chatted to one of the locals. Friendly staff and customers, a good price on my double vodka/lime/soda/ice and a slice too. We'll be sure to visit again the next time we're in the area.
Visited Barnard Castle for a few days and the local tour guide our taxi driver recommended this place because I wanted to watch live football. The staff are very friendly polite and professional even remembered what we were drinking after the first round. Good choice of drinks and plenty of places to sit. Has everything a good bar needs, sky sports, pool table and a jukebox. We felt very welcome here I'd definitely recommend this place and will definitely go back. Food & drinks: Good choice and reasonably priced
Nice local pub with a good selection of beers at good prices. Everyone is friendly and the place is clean and barstaff very helpful. When I go to visit my father in law we always go in here for a few beers. One of the best pubs in Barnard Castle
Had a great night. Landlord made us feel very welcome. Room very clean, good night's sleep. Good pint of beer reasonably priced. Good location.
Visited the pub to watch premier league football. Found a free table with a good view if one of 4 TV screens. Beer and wine were good.

Lovely pub , nice staff fantastic karaoke. Let down by clientele. Really drunk rude people in after 10 pm , mostly rugby team and friends. I had my table knocked over 3 times , no offer of replacing my wife ormy drinks the were spilled.in gents there was a queue to " powder" noses and then check in mirror if any powder was showing
Lovely room , spacious and comfortable. Could do with breakfast and it would be excellent place to stay.
We've had a lovely weekend at the Cricketers Arms. The room is spotless as is the ensuite and the owners are lovely. Would definitely come back and stay here again
Always call in when I'm Barnard Castle, proper Pub with good range of beers and real ales, which are all well kept. Food is also excellent with a good menu. Very professional staff always helpful, you'll find a mix of both locals and tourists, will be back.
