The hotel is about 10 mins walk from Gatwick south terminal. There are signs to guide you. If u don't have heavy luggage and it is not raining, may be good to walk as the hotel do charge u to take their shuttle and there is only one hour per shuttle as I have been advised by receptionist. The room is massive and the bed is comfortable. The bathroom amenities is sufficient but disappointed with the broken bathroom tap. Surprised there is no vanity pack and no slippers provided. The TV quality is good. We were grateful that they have upgrade our room. The building is nothing to wow about. Overall a good stay.
It’s a good enough hotel if you have an early flight at Gatwick and you don’t have another choice. It’s quiet, important for an airport hotel. It is outdated. Don’t eat breakfast there if you don’t have to. Don’t take the shuttle. Takes too long. It’s a small van which makes the rounds of other hotels. Good chance you won’t get on. Walk the 15 minutes to South Terminal if possible.
Comfortable spacious room but had no phone signal whilst in my room which was situated around an internal courtyard. Breakfast was good, usual selection of hot and cold, staff were polite and friendly. Advertised as 10 min walk from South terminal which is accurate but there is also a bus chargeable Rooms: Good amenities provided including an iron , ironing board, fridge, safe and coffee machine, ice bucket, kettle.
Customer services were good, handled enquiries well regarding shuttle services and timings. Rooms left soemthing to be desired with extremely hard mattresses, and pillows that barely felt like they were there. Quality of sleep was diminished by the lack of comfort, and the stifling warmth of the room either due to a faulty thermostat or it just not working at all. Entire party woke up with sore necks and backs. For £200 a night, you'd expect better. Bathroom was standard with shower and bath, with amenities provided, the only reason that the hotel didn't get 1 star.
The room I stayed in was clean and the bed very comfy. Had a lovely english breakfast with my best friend and it was delicious, there was a very warm welcome from the staff members Victoria and her colleague. I recommend this hotel 100%. Thank you for the lovely welcome. :Rooms: 5/5
This is a great option for a hotel by Gatwick airport! They must have renovated this place recently because everything looks new and smells new too! The rooms are nice! Pretty quiet. The staff was friendly especially the ones that work in the restaurant. There are two options for breakfast. A hot breakfast or a continental one. Children are half off. Easy to check in and check out. If you don’t have a lot of luggage and stuff then its an easy 10-15 minutes walk. I highly recommend this place for a stay for a flight in Gatwick hotel
The hotel is in a great location if you've got an early morning flight and has a shuttle bus that runs from 4am. The rooms were fairly modern and clean however the bathrooms need to be refurbished ASAP. At first glance they look clean but after a closer look there was plenty of mould around the shower and I even found hair from other people. The kicker was that somehow there were ants in the shower, in a 4th floor room.
Room was perfect for what we needed. Bit of a walk from south Terminal with two suitcases but once there it was okay. Room clean and did the job. Would stay again. was booked by a travel agent so safe to say I was worried before arriving!Hotel highlightsQuiet
What a bad experience... Went with my friends on vacation to what was to be a hotel in a reference international chair. The staff during our stay was very unprofessional and unfriendly, especially the front desk staff; there is no communication between departments - every day when we arrived at the restaurant for breakfast our room numbers were not listed; in the restaurant at night the waiters didn't know which table to deliver the food to - they delivered it from table to table until someone accused themself; when we arrived at night to the rooms the key cards were always demagnetized; when it was cleaning day the beds were not well made and among other things... As a Ritz-Carlton employee, I know the standards well and, for me, the Courtyard London Gatwick Airport hotel was a big disappointment! The service experienced is far from what Marriott chair promises to offer. Please come to Portugal and experience what good service is all about!
Friendly staff, nice rooms and a good shuttle service to the airport. The hotel is a 10-15 minute walk from the airport if you preferred to walk. The restaurant floor and chairs did need a little cleaning as they hadn't been cleaned properly by people before.
