Very good and kind of economical car park considering other london airports. Not far from terminal either. Lots of parking bays and paperless entry-exit. Bus service from-to airport is very timely and frequent. Must book online and in advance. I entered parking 15 minutes before the start time and had no issue or paid any extra fee.
Gatwick airport pros and cons are as follows. Has an ok selection of shops and stores ranging from boots and M&S. In terms of food it has Costa coffee and some other restaurants just above the arrivals hall. There are 3 short stay car parks which in itself are big but the parking spaces are so tight it’s easy to scrape against another car if your not careful. I think the car park was designed for cars like minis or something. Sometimes you have to climb out of the seat and slide past to get out.
Very near to the terminal, only a short bus ride. Friendly and helpful service from staff. Book on the official Gatwick website for a cheaper tariff than paying at the door. Take a picture of the Zone and bus stop as it is massive, all looks the same, and they open/close different zones..
I never knew I could get 2hrs free parking while I waited for an arrival. Very handy albeit I felt I was driving forever before I found a space. Once the passengers were ready it was a quick, easy drive to the Express Pick Up point. I shall definitely use it again but take something to read or some other entertainment as I wait.
Besides the disorganisation and only 1 person boarding an entire plane remotely not even by jet bridge, the shocking and absolute appalling thing is the fact that no air conditioning neither air recirculation was on. Two old person almost fainted. Roasting temperature at gates 90-92. Asked few workers passing by if they could get in contact with someone, they looked at us like we were asking for the moon. In 2022 I believe air conditioning it’s such a basic expectation! Horrible situation for which I believe the management should act fast. The already had some problems in the recent past, perhaps it’s time to improve especially in terms of safety
You pay a premium for official airport parking and most of the time it's worth compared to some of the less reputable parking options. The price and location were good not great, sadly it's let down by the bus transfers to and from the terminal. On arrival it was about 15-20 minutes between buses on a busy Saturday morning, not the 10 mins advertised. As such, the buses were full and we just about squeezed on - people at the next stop had to wait. It would have been 4 stars had the buses been better.
Easy to get to and plenty of spaces. A big plus is the bus that takes you to and from the airport - so much more comfortable than in Stansted. Especially helpful when you have big suitcase dragging after you!
Easy access with up to 2 hours free parking for drop off /pick up of passengers all you need to do is wnter through the automatic gate, collect your ticket and stay no more than 2 hours, Its completely free. Lots of parking spaces and many bus stops with numbers on them. Shuttle to the south terminal is very frequent
Beware leaving this place... I left the South Terminal Long Stay and it led me through the Drop Off zone. It will coat yiu £5 justto drive through, but you would not know I was unaware until I asked my colleague if the same happend to him. The sign posts are appalling, and I either missed something or they are not there, not sure what happend. So be careful. The car park itself was good though.
Very good, but difficult to find parking. Allow plenty of time as you can't walk to airport and have to wait for buses to take you there.. says every 12mins
