This is NOT called Uber car park. It's a public car park of which the Borough Council has rented out 60 spaces for use by Uber drivers awaiting rides from Gatwick Airport. A number of spaces are reserved for the public, including the 2 disabled spaces, and all spaces are labelled as for public or Uber use. However the Uber drivers have a history of intimidating members of the public and indulging in rather disgusting anti-social behaviour (despite the toilet installed for their use), and leaving vast amounts of litter and other detritus on the ground. This is notwithstanding that they (sometimes) have their own warden there and council enforcement officers are supposed to visit frequently..
