Purchased a car from Jeff, Was told nothing wrong with it, just had a mot., 5 mins after paying, i get a knocking noise coming from the front, spoke to him  told me to take to a garage in the middle of no where,  get there and the "mechanic" told me it was a hub cap, after telling him it wasnt finally got him to admit it was a Cv joint, was told it was safe to drive home which it wasnt.. got it repaired at my own cost, as was told it would take 2 weeks to get the part, i got it the same day. Next found out the brakes needed replacing as they were worn and shouldnt have past the mot, Informed jeff who decided to call me a scammer and trying to rip him off, got abusive, told me to take him to court and that we wouldnt win.

Had loads more problems too m any to write on here. 

Would do some research on this company before buying you will find a lot of the stories match. Very unhappy with the result, spent double what the car was worth in order to put it right, An mot doesnt mean nothing will ever go wrong with the car in that year like he thinks, and removing the battery doesnt remove faults for ever. Very odd

Dont hire cars from here they are all dodgey i hired a car from here and ot had dodgey breaks and the first car i hired from here the Speedo dint work i wont not recommended this car hire to any 1

I'm going to be hiring out a car today ... With countryside car hire, I work for trading standards and have some urgent work to attend to in Southend.  I emailed Jeff with some quires he has appeared to be very very helpful, answered all my questions straight to the point. He has appeared to be very helpful. So thankyou for your help Jeff.  For all the other reviews I will post a review after the hire also, to report my findings for everybody to see :) but so far five stars

HIGHWAY ROBBERY – I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH COUNTRYSIDE CAR HIRE IN WROXHAM/HOVETON.

I rented a car from Countryside Car Hire in Wroxham/Hoveton during August 2014 and had a terrible experience in which I was cheated out of my damage deposit and the unused portion of my rental fee.  I was also given a car that I shortly discovered had enough inoperative lights and equipment that it could not have passed an MOT at the time of the rental.

In short, after discovering a slow leak in a tyre and returning the car early to Countryside Car Hire so that it could be repaired, I was accused of lying about the condition of the tyre at the time of the rental and having done other damage to the tyre, none of which was true.  I was then rudely refused a replacement car.  When I asked for a ride to my house (a service offered on their website as free upon request) I was again very rudely declined.

Over a month has now passed and I have written and spoken to the owner.  I was told, very smugly, that none of my money would ever be refunded and I could take whatever action I liked, it would make no difference to him.  It is my belief that the owner of Countryside Car Hire knows full well that he is cheating me and running his business with no regard for his customers or the law.
