Had a lunchtime meal here with a group of friends on Saturday and so impressed with everything. The table was perfect - amazing view of the river. There were 8 of us and all ordered separately but our food came all at the same time and every meal from jacket potatoes with massive juicy prawns to the special fish basket were excellent quality, taste and presentation. Prices good too. Staff very friendly and polite. Highly recommend this place- we will definitely be going again.
I do not recommend booking a table for your celebration. We booked a table a month ago, I said it was a small wedding but we would like a table by the window with a view of the bridge. They will say that all the tables are by the window. When we arrived, they assigned us a table in the middle of the hall, with the excuse that they had a lot of people. But after all, we ordered the table a month ago?! Then they ran away dissatisfied and cleaned something at the window. OK. The menu is placed on the table. No one even said that you have to come to the bar yourself to order, we waited for 15 minutes. When we went ourselves, they said that they didn't have half of the menu items. Unfortunately, we gathered our things and left very disappointed. This place is good for those who want to drink and eat fast food, only then they should reduce the prices, because at the moment the prices do not correspond to reality, I am not even talking about the service, because it is not there at all.
Beautiful pub. Average food. Very poor customer service. It was like a ghost town for staff. No one to seat us and no staff to be seen to ask about the reservation. No one at the bar initially to take orders. Had to ask multiple times for the correct drinks and sides. No one was clearing the tables. We ordered drinks after our meal via the QR code. The ticket was just sat there until we went up and asked where the drinks were- the whole staff had just been having a chat behind the bar at this time. The restaurant was 95%+ empty when we went. A frustrating experience. A positive- a wonderful view of the Humber and Humber Bridge, and a beautifully renovated restaurant right next to the nature reserve. They will also refund parking for as long as you purchased. Food was fine with some vegan options but nothing special
On Tuesday 23 January my husband and I took his 93 year old mum for lunch and the meal was lovely. It was hot and delicious. The staff who served us eere excellent. Would highly recommend and shall be visiting again soon.
Havent been for a while for obvious reasons wasn't disappointed with the food. That was well presented and tasted delicious, full of flavour and the portion size was generous. The only let down was I came back to my seat to find a dog going through my bag. Mentioned this to the staff and I presume it was the manager came across and asked them to leave. Didn't realise that people could just walk in with their dogs. After that all I could smell was wet dog.
Always take dogs for a walk and stop off for a drink and something to eat. Very scenic and nice staff. Food good value. Lovely carvery on a Sunday.
Relaxing, pleasant room. Great views of Humber bridge. A little slow at first getting served, staff very pleasant, helpful and made conversation. Will definitely go back, next time for a meal. Great location. Nearby activities: Lots of walks near by. Children's play area. Beautiful views. Great food and drink.
Attended on a Saturday evening for a meal. Plenty of tables available and it is located next to the Humber Bridge, a beautiful location. The car park is pay and display. The staff were friendly and the place was clean. Unfortunetly, my starter was ruined by two big clumps of mud in the lettuce. The staff were apologetic and refunded us, but I had grit in my mouth for ages afterwards. Not a nice experience. I had rib eye steak for the main that was cooked as I requested. Not the best steak I've ever had, pretty average. I left a small part of it as it was just gristle. So to sum up, it was a bit of a disappointment and we probably wouldn't return, there are better places locally. A shame really because the location, building and decor is lovely.
Food was really greasy. Both me and my son had burger and chips and for the price it was awful. Couldn’t get through half of my burger and my son had two bites of his. Can only sit outside with a dog. No table service and stated on sign outside that children must be supervised, so ordering food as a single parent with a dog wasn’t strictly doable.
Very clean, very friendly, nice views. Next time will have something to eat, menu looked good. Staff were very nice.Rooms: 5/5
