Just been to eat with my family for my birthday. Service was amazing! The food was stunning! Lovely fresh and hot. Was the best rogan I have had in a long time!! The flavours were perfect Well done Gents for a brilliant night out
My partner has used this restaurant for 20 + years and has always spoken highly of this establishment. As we no longer live near we made the special trip to enjoy his favourite curry house, only to be left hugely disappointed. We both thought the food was bland, but the service was ok. However, we were sat at the back of the restaurant near the kitchen and we witnessed a waiter on multiple occasions reuse the same popadom condiments - the waiter reused the same spoons, bowls and even condiments just topping them up with fresh before re-serving them. Before topping them up the waiter would scoop out previous contaminates from each compartment and wipe the bowl from any drips. All of this was carried out on the restaurant floor in front of the tables not behind closed door. We questioned the waiter and he became sheepish. We did bring this to the manger’s attention who didn’t seem interested, we won’t be returning.
Very disappointed with our meal, I only had 3 pieces of chicken in my curry which had a strange texture e.g processed and rubbery. The rest of the order was greasy and not of good quality. Such a shame as we previously used this restaurant a lot over the years and have never had any problems.
The Coundon District nurses favorite and their loyal. Been coming here since 2008. Fresh Naan every time.
Ok what's happened to the place years since I last went ..Have you booked he asked. The place was empty.1600 hours .tried to seat me right next to door .no thanks I said .Pushed a menu in front of us can i have a little time I said .The seats and tables are so close together it would be hard to have a quiet conversation too many table squeezed together looks like a canteen ..On to the currys was average the lamb felt like dried beef..Ate it because I was hungry Ask for bill not value for money..The Restaurant still had 60 approx empty..when we left ..Wonder why ..
Excellent food, probably the best curry in Coventry. Group of us ate a few weeks ago and they all agreed top quality.
Takeaway .... quick service delicious fresh food and lovely delivery driver. Will be using this establishment from now on.Food: 5/5
Top quality food, great staff and really competitively priced. Highly recommended.
Bar attached Indian cuisine, chappati was really soft n home made , not ready-made one, they turn off chappati tawa at 9pm though, so be early. Egg fried Rice was good as well , but Quantity is less, like half plate . Taste was really good. Chicken dupiaza was good as well
Visited mid week early evening. They have a good menu including "English food" for the less adventurous. Service was good, attentive and friendly. They have a good drinks menu with wine, beer, spirits and soft drinks. The food served was excellent. It was very tasty, spiced enough but not so hot as to disguise the real flavours. Well cooked, served nicely. Good sized portions, and they do allow you to take away anything you couldn't manage to eat. They were doing a busy take away trade as well. So yes, definitely going to visit again.
