We had our bathroom installed by Coulsdon Home Hardware nearly 15 years ago and it's really stood the test of time so we decided to approach them to do a design and supply for our kitchen the builder had already been booked to do the install which is why it was just 'design and supply' We couldn't be happier with our kitchen design. The quality is excellent, Simon was responsive when we had a few, very minor supply problems and his suggestion to add a floating oak bar was spot on as it just sets off the island perfectly and makes it a lovely space to sit and eat or work. Thank you so much!

At the end of a busy Saturday, with all staff busy unloading a delivery, I went into this shop in early May '22 looking for a specific cleaning product. The shop assistant not only showed me what they had, but stopped me spending £8 when I could spend $1.99 and get exactly what I actually needed. How very unusual these days to get such customer service! Despite the urgency of their task, I was never rushed. I will go back on the basis that real value is created by friendly, practical customer care.
Geoff installed new flooring in our hallway and kitchen/dining area. I cannot recommend Geoff highly enough. Geoff worked incredibly hard and was a pleasure to have in our home. Geoff was extremely tidy and cleared up each day. Geoff was very friendly, polite and professional. We are so pleased with our new flooring, it’s perfect.
A local Hardware shop with experienced staff who know what they're talking about. Great range of cleaning products, many of which I've never seen anywhere except online, gardening & decorating supplies at reasonable prices all attractively displayed. Best thing is the paint mixing service and if they don't have it in the shop it'll be ordered ASAP. Seasonal products from fairly lights to pretty bird feeders are always worth checking out; especially for a present for a loved one who's difficult to by for. They also have a building and property maintenance side which is called Signiture Homes. I needed a plumber and it was sorted out at a very reasonable cost very quickly without a huge call out charge. Extensions, bathrooms, kitchens, decorating....the list is endless. They do it all with a friendly professional approach. Any budget is catered for and it's so easy & convenient - just make an appointment & pop to their shop in the High Street to discuss it. Highly recommended
I can recommend this shop highly. The current staff have all been there for a few years now, which I always find reassuring, and work well as a team. The are extremely helpful, and are very adept at advising the customer on his best buy when there are several options available to do a particular job. - regardless of price. I went there yesterday with my wife to buy a vacuum cleaner. We were very well advised, and are now delighted with our purchase. We also noticed that they have a gardening section downstairs, with quite a lot of items at highly competitive prices. I have also noticed that some tradesmen patronise this place: always a good sign.Thank you for being there, Coulsdon Hardware!
Not only had the specific shower pump that I needed but also had lots of biscuits for my dog.
The staff are really friendly, knowledgeable and happy to help here. As a plus they will tell you if they don't have the answer for something instead of making something up to sell you things. Probably a bit more expensive than the giants of B&Q and the like but we'll worth the little bit extra for the customer experience!
Poor range of items, I went to buy some brass coloured screws and was told they didn’t have the size I needed. A hardware store without screws!!! Really!!! I’m not sure what they actually have. Lots of tat and miscellaneous items it seems. Staff reluctant to help and take their time even though there’s lots of them and the shop is never really busy. I never feel welcome in there and feel compelled to leave as soon as I arrive. One of the members of staff who I thought was the manager has a very superior attitude never addresses me or can be bothered to greet me when I enter. Instead I get lots of staring and I’m ignored. I have a definite feeling of negativity whenever I’m in there. It seems certain people are made much more welcome than others are! Interesting considering where his accent suggests he is from Well if I’m not good enough to be treated appropriately and with the respect afforded to others I’ll vote with my feet and find another establishment to spend my hard earned money in. I’ve tried to buy in there at least 3 times but I’ll not be giving this shop another chance. After leaving my review the manager responded. I reiterated that my review includes no untruths. I did however believe the very rude man to be the manager it was not, I apologised. I did as requested and emailed the manager 2 days ago. He has not bothered to reply
Ordered some garden benches. Coulsdon Hardware offered a good selection on their website at excellent prices. Local free delivery within 24 hours of order by their own staff. Thank you to the gentleman making the delivery for carrying them through the side gate. Great quality and excellent customer service.
