I was not impressed with Cosy Club. The cocktails were uninspiring- we were initially going to order dinner but left after finishing our drinks because we didn't enjoy them nor the atmosphere and general vibe. The dining area adjacent to the bar was busy but I saw mostly hippy type people. I guess it's a casual place- i wouldn't describe it as trendy/classy. What's up with the discoloured stripped walls? I don't know if it was meant to look like that, but i felt it to be tacky and cheap. I appreciate the venue was a former mental hospital and maybe the owners wanted to maintain the buildings old characteristics- but we thought it needed a fresh coat of paint!

Lovely staff. Good vegan options, though getting fewer. Amazing garlic bread! But you need to ask for it off the menu as menu version used cow's milk butter. But just wonderful staff, I would high recommend anyone go here

Well I don't know what happened to the 'lovely' 'friendly and helpful' Cosy Club in all these reviews. Not one of the staff bothered to smile once while we were there. It was my daughter's birthday and I wanted it to feel special but we all left feeling like we'd been an extra annoyance. It took ages for our order to be taken and when the food finally arrived it was pretty mediocre. It doesn't take much to smile and be friendly, apparently last night it was really too much effort.

Can't belive I have just discovered this place! Nice vintage building, cosy atmosphere, open space and food is just amazing! Highly recommend if you are looking for nice food with reasonable prices away from main streets of Exeter!

Great, but busy (to an uncomfortable level). The place is cool, the food is great, drinks are varied and the staff are lovely, however they seem overworked in busy times. Booking is essential as it's rarely quiet. It's tucked away so feels cosy 😄 I often come here but try to avoid Friday and Saturday nights as it can get a bit much!
