It's a shame they've had a change of staff at St Giles Costa. New staff seem to have no customer service training. When told there was no toilet paper in the loo the response was "you're the second person who's said that" ! When I ordered my drink I asked for another glass for my green tea as the one they gave me was dirty. I was told they come out of the dishwasher slightly foggy, to which I replied " I know about the chalky build up in this area but was more concerned that there was lipstick on the glass and it wasn't my shade. No apology was given for the dirty glass, just a look of what I can only describe as 'moody adolescent' I was obviously being 'fussy'! Hope the previous lady who worked there is just on holiday!

For a coffee shop, this place is very good and convenient. It's within walking distance, so we regularly walk the dog down there and sit him in the patio at the back, accessible not only through the cafe, where dogs aren't allowed, but through a side door at the back (which is only really meant to be a staff entry, but they leave it unlocked so they can let you through anyway, and even encourage dogs in the patio, as they leave a water bowl for dogs there). The food selection is ok - assorted toasties, sandwiches, and paninis, along with a medium-sized selection of pretty good-looking cakes. The drink selection is like any other Costa - they do some iced drinks, a huge selection of coffees (well, it is expected of a coffee establishment, isn't it?!), and some other drinks. The staff are friendly enough, and usually prepare the drinks (and heat toasties and paninis, if you so choose to have them) quite fast (usually they can deliver to your table without a fuss). Overall, as a coffee shop, I'd say it's quite a nice one, and it will always be our coffee shop of choice, provided we choose to stay in the area.

Use this coffee shop quite often and find the staff very welcoming and attentive. The shop itself is quite modern and clean and has good facilities. There is a small area to sit outside the front of the shop but this is next to the main road. There is a much nicer area at the back which is good when the weather is warm.

Tasty drinks, kind employees and they are always able to go that extra yard if you want a little extra something
