Of the chain coffee bars in the UK, Costa is consistently decent. The only gripes are that UK coffee sizes are way too big, and the coffee is always like lava. It also really winds me up when I'm asked if I want milk in my Americano...petty stuff, but I am a miserable old git!
After visiting costa Gallagher retail twice this week neither experience was up to scratch.. Tuesday been the first visit x3 hot chocolates and a baby chino…. All very cold was asked if we wanted the baby chino cooling…. It was freezing to the point my son did not drink this as it was too cold.. tonight’s visit I ordered and paid for a large hot chocolate and a large gingerbread and cream latte….. received a large hot chocolate but a small latte… may I add this was after waiting 20 minutes for the drinks and them been made as a stay in originally.. I ordered take outs. I don’t know what has happened this week but the staff seem so lapse daisy especially tonight. The cashier dropped a customers cake and laughed!

Dinned in, no plates offered, take out cups given, girl serving absolutely miserable and stating couldn't order item when clearly on sale, five tables not cleared....pretty poor
Took them 3 attempts to get my order correct 1 girl serving 1 girl making drinks she was like a machine bless her both flat out not fairFood: 4/5
What a delightful place to be. Everything is so lovely, clean and well presented and the service is quick.
Ran out of salted caramel syrup for any of the hot drinks we wanted ..turns out others couldn't be made because of that either; like the salted caramel promotion option at the time for instance....why wouldn't you just order extra syrup if your promoting drinks that use the same syrup obvioisly your going to be using more of it.... unprofessional that a brand as established as Costa ran out of something so easy to attain ..all other signature drinks were coolers and frappes or just werent appealing. Not interested.... Not much speciality choices for hot drinks to give the consumers something a bit different...they were just your bog standard coffee options available aside from that...I personally prefer Starbucks customer service and will not change my mind anytime soon. We ended up getting drinks from maccies round the corner we weren't dissapointed to drive away from here empty handed.

Good coffee as always, friendly staff, but the clearing of tables could be a little swifter.
