The best record store in Toronto. The vinyl selection is well curated. I found Japanese pressings and jazz, international music, and even some old Edison sound recordings. Amazing! The jazz section is not only organized by artists but also by instruments. Also appreciate that the classical music is actually showcased and not just thrown in the discount bin, as with other record stores. Staff is also super friendly and offered to help with any questions.

Cosmos Records is one of my favourite places to take guests on my tour. I know that Cosmos is guaranteed to have the best selection of original pressings and hard-to-find records. As a personal collector, there is no better place in the city for funk, soul, jazz, hip-hop and Brazilian.
Wow what an awesome shop full of amazing rare records and essentials to add to your collection. I will definitely be coming back...thanks Cosmos!
Cosmos is a full of gems! Always fun to dig here, finding singles, classics and beats. Have loved the back section organized by records sampled from producers. Rarities can be found but it can come at a price. They import from Japan and years ago the owner even gave me suggestions for record shops to check out when I was traveling to Tokyo. Appreciate the catalogue, their energy and the space.

Nice little hole in the wall Record Shop with some history in the community. Specializes in Rap Hio-hop, Funk and R&B - not sure the owner even knew we were there, lol. #RecordShop
This is my personal favourite record store in Toronto. Every time I go in this record store I always find an original I never thought I would see. If you collect hip-hop, soul, funk or city-pop, you will love this store. This is the only store I've ever been to with a dedicated Japanese section that is filled with originals. If you are looking for something specific and/or rare just ask Aki and he usually has it or a recommendation based off your ask in the back. I make a point of going about once a month because he's always getting new stuff in as well. Amazing store!!
Fantastic selection, especially funk, soul and rare grooves. Super-friendly owner Hisa-san who has a real passion for the music and encyclopedic knowledge. I thought I knew the deep cuts, but Hisa was an Elder Sage of the Funk. Cosmos is the kind of place you can happily hang out for hours playing records and finding things you can't find elsewhere. Will definitely stop every time I’m in Toronto.
