We have eaten and stayed here twice. The locally sourced produce is cooked to perfection. The ox cheek melts. It was difficult to choose what to eat as the entire menu is tempting. The wine list is superb. Breakfasts are deliciously different. Everything is presented beautifully.
The burger was probably the best burger that I have had in a long time. We discovered this restaurant by accident. But we will definitely be back. The food here was amazingly good and the service was excellent. They could have better vegetarian/vegan options – but you can’t have everything I guess. Highly recommend this place.
Literally the best steak we've ever eaten! Staff were a delight too! Last meal before our elopement wedding and could not recommend it more! 6* if I could!
We stayed for one night to break the journey up on the way to Cornwall. Our room was at the back of the property with good sized bathroom. There wasn't availability of the room with the copper bath tub- maybe next time. We'd reserved a table in the restaurant and was glad we had as it was busy.
Great menu with wide choice of dishes. Good wine list and selection of beers. Cosy atmosphere. Central location. Friendly young staff. Great Scotch eggs and cauliflower soup starters as shown.
