We transferred from our previous vet to here as our cat was very sick and with only living across the road we didn't want to put her through a long travel. I really want to thank everyone at Cornerstone that we have dealt with in saying goodbye to our Lily. She was everything to us. Special mention to Clare with her caring nature to help us deal with such a difficult time, she was just wonderful and she just got it with being a cat lover herself. Thankyou also for sending us a sympathy card, the little details like that just make us know we chose the right place to have Lily at peace.
This place is lovely! Very relaxed atmosphere, the vet was so good with my little chi and walked me through everything. I would say their pricing range is also amazing, was so surprised. Thanks for a lovely experience from me and from my pup!
Having been a customer at Cornerstone for 13 years with my two dogs, it's safe to say I won't be back nor will I recommend the vet or the staff to anyone. A few weeks ago on the 20/03/2024, I had to make the hardest possible decision to date, to put my 12 year old cocker spaniel Ollie to sleep, as a result of several misdiagnosis from Cornerstone. Ollie had been at Cornerstone from a puppy, he had his regular checkups and vaccinations as required and was generally a healthy dog. Up until COVID had hit, we noticed certain wee things going on with him and decided to get it checked out. Our main concern with him was the weight loss. Having had several conversations from when COVID struck until January 2024 with Peter and Agnes, we had asked staff if Ollie had cancer as the weight loss was very substantial over a period of a few weeks, despite Ollie eating as normal. Every time we visited, we were told there is no concern re cancer but Peter in fairness did diagnose Ollie with a heart murmur and had put him on heart medication to manage it. We kept being told that Ollie needed a £350 scan to detect how bad the heart murmur was but no blood test was offered. In the 4 weeks leading up to Ollie's passing, I decided I wasn't quite happy with what I was told at Cornerstone, his condition kept getting worse so I decided to get a second opinion....and I'm glad I did, to a certain extent!!! We took Ollie to PDSA on the Antrim Road in Belfast on Wednesday 20/03/3024, and the vet who seen him told us straight away after examining him, that he was extremely unwell and not likely to make it through the night. This was absolutely heartbreaking news, and not what we expected to hear. It was only until a blood test was done by PDSA that we discovered for the first time that Ollie had kidney failure, his prostrate was the size of an apple indicating cancer as his calcium levels were extremely high and stage 4 heart failure. On that very day, I made the heart wrenching decision to put my beloved dog of 12 years to sleep despite asking the vet to do something to help him but it was too late, nothing else could be done to save him. I'm extremely angry, frustrated and heartbroken that Cornerstone failed in their duty of care for Ollie and if this would have been picked up on earlier, he could still be alive now. How could a vet fail to pick up on cancer and kidney failure??? Cancer doesn't grow and kill overnight!! Never again will I be back at Cornerstone, and I won't be recommending this place to anyone. My trust and confidence in the staff at Cornerstone is completely gone and I've decided to take my other 14yr old dog to another vet going forward. Having spoken to friends and other family members about my experience, this isn't the first time Cornerstone have failed people's pets, I just wonder how the practice is still legally running with so many complaints. My advice would be to stay well clear of this circus!
I can’t recommend Conerstone enough, the staff are outstanding and so friendly. We recently had to have our dog put to sleep due to cancer and I cannot thank everyone enough at the clinic for how well our Poppy was treated throughout her illness and then on her last day. We were also treated with kindness which I wouldn’t have expected but will be forever grateful for. Thank you again for making a very difficult experience in life a little easier.
Always been very well looked after by the cornerstone team Nothing ever to much for them Julie a very helpful girl and Peter a great veterinary surgeon have been with them over 17 years and can not say a bad or angry word.thank you
Peter and his colleagues have treated all our pets over the years, from Toby our Rabbit to Glyn our Dog. They are always welcoming, professional and friendly. I got to tour the place last week and their surgical suite is truly amazing. I have no reservations about having my dog treated by Peter when he isn't well. A great local and independent vet. I cannot thank them enough.

And if you just stop to think of it, there's no doubt of it I shall win a place in history I can walk with the animals, talk with the animals Grunt and squeak and squawk with the animals And they can squeak and squawk and speak and talk to me!"
Mutiple times told me my cat had no breathing issues, and was probably due a malformed nose? Took her to another vets and after 3 years finally got help where they said she had feline ashtma, cat is now happy and fine with medication.
