Highly professional and courteous staff, certainly about the best estate agency I've had dealings with. They also seems to be well connected thereby affording their clients a more variegated options to chose from. 
They are recommendable.

If there was an option for zero stars I would select.

We viewed a property with Nigel Cooke on a Monday, and put an offer in of £2,000 over the asking price. Nigel called me the next morning to say he had talked through with the vendor and if we were to up the offer by  £1,000 the offer would be accepted. We did that and the offer was accepted, I happily went off to arrange the mortgage and gather paperwork, as directed by Cooke & Co. We signed up to their recommendation for conveyancing and solicitor too. All good. 

HOWEVER... the next day I get a call from Claire the Office Manager to tell us that 'the vendor has accepted another offer from another buyer'. Alarm bells ringing now. 'How can this happen Claire? You told me yesterday they had accepted my offer, and the property was taken off the market.'

'Well Mr Robson, we acted in your best interest. Sorry Claire, how is selling the property to another person in my best interest when you told me my offer was accepted yesterday? Well Mr Robson, this can happen all they way up to exchange.' 

WOW. No explanation. Just that 'it can happen'. But how? You said our offer was accepted. You're not showing the property to anyone else?

I've taken this up with Nigel Cooke directly and have asked him why he's lied to us. 

All we want is honesty, and whilst trying to put the negatives associated withe estate agents aside, they handled themselves terribly. 

One more thing to add. Nigel Cooke thinks he's some sort of superstar estate agent. He didn't stop talking for a 45 mins whilst we were viewing the property, if the property wasn't as good as it was he would have seriously put us off. Swearing, and telling us that the reason that the vendor was selling the property is that 'his Daddy had given him some money'. 

Anyway. That's all I have to say.

Estate agents, just be honest.

I was a buyer using their services so perhaps I would not have expected the service I received given I was not paying them. Quite the opposite! There were several occasions I needed to ring Cooke and Co about the purchase, I was answered promptly and efficiently. If they had to check on something they always rang me back very quickly. I can thoroughly recommend Cooke and Co.

Sold my home through Cooke & Co in October 2015 and they were excellent. From start to finish they guided me through every step and even assisted, where they could on my new build purchase, even though they were not the agent for the builder. Excellent service, great team and highly recommend. Thanks Nigel & Team. Hannah

Always professional, courteous and knowledgeable with an edge and ability to get things done.
I have bought and sold through Cooke & Co for many years and recommend them highly.
