Established in 1996, COMPUTER orBIT is one of the largest independent computer retailers in the North East. We supply hardware, support and excellent customer service to thousands of local residents, businesses and local authorities.

We offer thousands of products and have built long term and close working relationships with hundreds of suppliers, distributors and the biggest brands in the industry, enabling us to stock the right product at the right price, complimented by an unrivalled level of customer service.

HISTORY:
Established in 1996, our first store was opened in Newcastle. A small two storey warehouse was converted in to a store front and COMPUTER orBIT was born. Being one of the first independent computer retailers COMPUTER orBIT was a huge success, we rapidly outgrew the small store, requiring a much larger store front and warehouse space.

We then moved to Sunderland Road in Gateshead, where we spent a few years, before moving once again to our current location on Old Durham Road in Gateshead in 1999.

In keeping with the ‘online boom’ we launched our e-commerce website in 2002 offering thousands of items that could be purchased at a click of a button. We now offer all our products online, as well as in-store and all at competitive prices.

Our team can repair all types of systems and laptops including damaged screens, power adaptor repairs and many software issues.

We now offer products and services to home users, businesses, educational bodies and trade resellers, as well as an expansive online shopping facility.
