I was served by Neil at Team Valley store at the weekend and was delighted with his customer service. I purchased three large kitchen appliances from the store fridge freezer, cooker and washer, Neil was friendly and approachable from start to finish. Neil is extremely knowledgeable and answered all my questions and concerns with ease. He explained the whole order process in an easy friendly manner, and he managed to get a quick delivery date to fit around me. He even managed to give a bit of a discount, which was extremely generous.  He is an absolute credit to the Team Valley store and to Currys as a company. For future purchases I would go to Neil.
Was great help once I pulled someone. Went in for a CD writer for my laptop, couldn't find it and could see I was lost/confused not one person approach me made eye contact with several people and went to approach but they all just walked away. Once I got a hold of someone they were great and the staff which I believe one was a manager made a fuss of my son whilst the college explain the accessory to me. So first half terrible second half when someone helped me great
Absolutely ridiculous… changed my mind about buying a new phone. Money was taken out already out of my account without given the new phone etc. On contact was written a number which only helps when bought something online and not in the store. What is the point of that??? Then put the store contact number on … Need to drive now all the way to shop to get my money refunded.
Absolutely horrific. The only reason they're still open is cause of their monopoly in the electrical sector. If you want to buy something they will jump through hoops, if you need something repaired or replaced you will most likely have to ring 20 different phone numbers and have about 5 cases open at once with them all being sorted at a snails pace. Been essentially without a fridge for 2 weeks as the brand new one we got delievered was faulty, its honestly been a complete and utter S show.
Had to call into the Team Valley store today as our Washer gave up, we spoke to Carl who was fantastic and helped us choose a washer that met our needs and explained all the different options available and help us look into the different cover options available, anyone looking for a good helpful person speak to Carl
This storre should get 0 stars for customer service and Curry's in general should pay a lot more attention to the knowledge and proficiency of staff online/instore. This is the drama about a Tefal Air Frier that is under a care plan. As a customer I have spent over 10K at this Team Valley shop and have purchased all my electrical items from the 75Inch TV to the rice cooker over the last 5 years. The air frier stopped working mid past July and we took it for the care and repare section and the shop. We were told that it should be back in 2 weeks. We went on holiday and came back on 2nd August. Still no news about the device. We waited 2 more weeks before calling the Curry's number. When I called them last week, I was told that the device is not back still. Then I called them today 18th August in the morning. First the phone was picked up by a person and there was so much noice kids crying and doors slamming in the background and she kept saying she could not hear me. Then she said she would call me back, which she never did. I called the number again and then I was passed from one department to another and finally the person told me that they would send an email to the shop asking for more information as they could not contact the shop. We then went to the Team Valley shop as we needed to find out urgently and was very much annoyed about how long it has taken. At the shop, the person at the care and repair section Darren told me that The product is still with the manufacturer and I must go back and contact the customer srrvice team online to request a product replacement under 7 day fix promise. Although, Darren provided information I must highlight his poor customer service skills that is replete with dimissive and neglegent attitude and tone. He had no regard to our situation and almost made a mockery of me. He should not be speaking to people with that sort of attitude. Anyways, then we went back home and called the customer service around 4PM. I was again passed from one person to another 5 People. And the 3rd person told me that I have to go back to the shop to request this, which I firmly refused to do. I did not want to know trust that shop mainly due to Darren's attitude to help us resolve this. Then finally the person I spoke online managed to raise this to the shop and said they have initiated the write-off which the shop should have done but want more information from the shop. Finally, displeased with this whole situation and the abysmal customer service I have shopped and by default go to buy all my electricals, I called the Team Valley shop to speak to a manager. The call was around 4.45 PM and the person who picked up the phone asked me what is my complaint to the manager. I told them it is about the product replair and general customer service. And the person told me that I should speak with care snd repair team. At this point, I realised this was Darren but I cannot be sure. Whoever it is, I told them that I am not interested in speaking to the care and repair team and told him I want to speak to the manager and he can simplify transfer me to the manager. Then, to my surprise the person told me that he didnt like the word "told" and me "telling" them what to do. I was told that I could "ask" but cannot "tell". Are you kidding me? Of course this person was annoyed and did not want me to speak to their management so they tried to employ misdirection as a strategy. I argue and firmly told the person that I am not interested in speaking to another department due to my experience so far in store as well as online. I simply wanted to speak to the manager. I told them that I would esclate this to corporate management then I was told do what you want and you dont need to be calling this number and the person hung up. We called the customer service number again and made a formal complaint to the store manager, hopefully they pick it up. But this is the nature of customer service I experienced today, mainly because of 1 person. It will take a lot more convicing for me to go back to Currys again.
Fantastic help from Adam, he is able to explain everything so easily at a level we could understand. Resulted in him getting a sale for a new laptop - my friend and I only went in to look! Highly recommended.
Went in to get a Fitbit for my wife. Excellent help from Travis when making the purchase then even MORE superb support from Darren when we had a query and needed to change it. Cannot praise Currys too highly for its customer support and care.
Joke of a company. I bought a Logik American style fridge freezer on 16th July 2023. Worked fine until 16th July 2024 when it kept tripping the electrics in our house. I rang Currys customer services to get it fixed which & was told the warranty had ran out at midnight. It was delivered on the 20th July 2023 so I’d had the fridge in my property forless than a year. I asked if they could fix it as it should be lasting longer than that & they told me it was out of warranty so would have to pay. Instead I got a local repairman out who came & told me that in his experience you’d be lucky to get 5 years out of a Logik fridge freezer as they were a cheap make. I’ve decided to cut my losses & get another fridge freezer from AO who I’ve used before & their customer services is head & shoulders above Currys. This terrible company has seen the last of my hard earned cash.
Why are people penalised for paying cash? We wanted a new tv had a family whip round. Delivery will take 10 days plus for a cash payment for a TV. Card payment for a TV, Next day delivery. And you can't collect from shop.!!! The staff were the most miserable unhelpful truly awful assistants I've ever ever endured. Currys PC World team valley GATESHEAD.
