Whilst dealing with a new member of the smart IT team, the young man was very happy to help, he was able to solve my connection issue without any problems. Smart IT have always solved my technical issues out straight away, very helpful and friendly bunch of staff! Definitely recommend.
SmartIT are a the providers of essential ICT solutions to the company I am currently employed. Each member of staff, who I have had the pleasure to come into contact with, from the Technical Director to the engineers, always provide excellent IT support. Support tickets are always responded to efficiently by knowledgeable professionals who are always prepared to go the extra mile to enable the swift resolution of any IT issues. SmartIT are a fantastic company to have at the end of the phone.
Extremely poor technical knowledge. Attempted to rebuild a network and weren't able to understand the layer 3 config so factory reset all switches before taking any backups. As a result other businesses, including an NHS site who were sharing the infrastructure lost all their config. The senior infrastructure engineers managing the site for the public sector had to rebuild it from their own backups. Also, very underhand sales tactics - repeatedly send emails suggesting a meeting has been arranged previously with the recipient or a colleague and suggest they are going to turn up unannounced without an appointment unless someone calls to cancel. When confronted about this they deny it and then do it again. Many of my business peers have reported the same atrocious, misleading sales tactics. Avoid at all costs. EDIT - The response from Smart IT below to this review is exactly how they behave. I have posted a negative review previously and they have had it deleted - I wonder how many other poor reviews have been supressed - makes you think... They deny sending these sales emails as I stated and the NHS customer wasn't theirs if they bothered to read the initial post I clearly state the NHS were sharing the site . The NHS was in fact sharing the infrastructure along with other public sector offices, on a site where they did have a customer, and they didn't bother to check anything at all before resetting all the switches without permission. This is not a misrepresentation it is completely true. Oh, and I have examples of unsolicited emails where they suggest they are going to turn up unannounced without an appointment unless I called to cancel. No doubt they will also attempt to have this review removed but I will have screenshots while it is still active!
i can not praise this company enough, the staff are very helpful, they take the time to explain things in detail and if like me you have 0 knowledge of computers they are happy to wait whilst you comply with what they have asked you to do so that they can support you the best way possible.
Smart IT are a brilliant support- we have all levels of IT users within our organisation and it's never too much for them to assist our staff. They are always patient and able to explain things to staff in a way that they understand. I have personally found their communication to be great, they will contact you when they say they will and they always follow up to ensure they've solved the problem for you. I would definitely recommend Smart IT!
