Amazing service! Took us from our home to Heathrow. The driver arrived early so we had plenty of time to get everything in the car without rushing. Got to the airport right on time even though there was traffic. Very safe and comfortable journey! And a very polite driver who made us feel very relaxed! Will definitely be using again! 5 star service at its best!

Using Compass Taxis has been the only negative experience I have ever had with a taxi, and having a disabled mother, we use taxis very often. The experience was quite simply a nightmare. The meter stopped at 3.80£, and the driver added 0.40£ of extras because we were 3 people (with no luggage). I didn't say anything at this point when i saw the meter go to 4.20£. However he then turned the meter off and called for 4.80£. When i queried asking whether he meant 4.20£ he got extremly verbally abusive, shouting that I was calling him a liar (which i never did, i merely asked if he had made a mistake). I decided to pay the 4.80£ to end the confrontation as my sister and mother at this point were getting scared. However the driver followed us out of the car to the bed and breakfast entrance to continue the confrontation. The entire thing was witnessed by the owner of the bed and breakfast we were staying at and multiple other guests who were all awestruck at the display. I complained to the company who offered a 5£ voucher but refused to refund the fare in cash, saying the taxi driver claims to have originally asked for 4.20£. Of course, had he done so there wouldn't have even been an argument in the first place. And its hard to miss count when you give a 5£ note and receive only one 0.20£ coin change. Whats more, having checked the digital receipt after the events, the price was indeed 4.20£. To be fair, the operator I spoke to who logged the complaint was very nice and apologetic, though no manager called me back personally. I mention this because i note that in a response to another review they claim to have managers to hand to contact people in the event of issues and I was told on the phone one would be in touch. I did receive some emails after I followed up on the call with my owm email, but I was not telephoned. The owner of the bed and breakfast has disposed of all their cards, and will no longer recommend them to her fellow bed and breakfasts and guests, as has the man who originally recommended them. Given that my mother and sister felt physically threatened I have also lodged a complaint with the local council so that hopefully no one else will be left shaking. Why take the risk when there are other absolutely great companies in Great Yarmouth, like Albies, Swift and Anglia, whose drivers even offer to help my mum out the car most of the time? Hardly expected or necessary, but a nice gesture which contrasts well with the abysmal service received in this instance. My recommendation: stay far far away.

Rang up for a quote and spoke to a very nice person, agreed the price, then when completing the booking he realised the quote was incorrect, he split the difference and although annoyed felt mistakes can be made and decided to still book. Day before travelling, i received a phone call to state the price was incorrect again, this time the price was doubled!!! i had no choice but to cancel my booking I would not use again or recommend.
