My pet had emergency eye surgery in summer 2022 since then my pet has needed a number of appointments. Even when needing a short notice appointments the surgery has made space including for his actual emergency surgery. I have been pleased that his care has been a balance between what's right for my pet and what's sensible to do rather than feeling pushed onto extra treatments or care for him. I recently attended and saw the vet who has treated my dog since the summer and was really pleased with his knowledge and sensible approach to my dogs needs.
Very disappointed with the care we received for our beloved dog. He had to have an operation to be stiched up due to cutting his pad at the beach and it was rather severe. After 2 weeks the stiches came loose and did not hold the wound together so he had to have a 2nd operation costing more £££. The vet told us he needed stronger stitches as the ones he used the first time around did not hold the wound together the stronger stiches should have been used the first time around then he wouldn't have needed the 2nd operation. I am no vet but even I could tell how deep the wound was and that it needed heavy duty stiches. The vet then said he could make it cheaper by using cheaper bandages as our dog was also coming in every 3 days to have bandage changes costing more £££ but little did they tell us that in using the cheaper bandages they would cause sores up his leg. His foot was an absolute mess and we had to change vets as the care we received was certainly not up to the standard. We raised a complaint with no response from them at all except when we cleared our balance and convinently we had a reply back to our complaint. The young girl on reception was also extremely rude when we asked if we could stretch his bandage change to 4 days that particular time due to my son being in hospital. She flatly refused and had no compassion at all and this was apparently not aloud yet over the Christmas period they themselves stretched it to 4 days and this was okay? We have switched vets and they have sorted our poor dogs leg at a fraction of the price and we are very pleased with the service from them and we will NEVER use companion care again.
My cats procedure was completed to a high standard but the nurse was useless she was ill informed of my cats needs what was being done and only interested in selling as much highly priced additional and not needed add on medication. And after I told her I could not afford it she still told the receptionist I wanted it. Unfortunately the nurse was just a sales woman not a vet nurse.
Brilliant Vets! Staff are lovely and informative, and the vets themselves are excellent by being professional yet humourous when needed! Only gripe I've had in the past was one singular Vet of whom came out with my Cat Link in her carrier, just swaying her from side to side with no thought as to the little cat inside said carrier... Haven't seen this individual for a while so won't fault the Vets fully. Overall will continue to come here for my pets needs! One bad egg won't ruin it for me.
Fantastic service by the vet. My regular vets were not open well no vet available I needed to know if my puppy was okay for a groom after having a cyst. I was able to send an email with photos, so no vet fee involved
Annual inoculation for cat. very polite and friendly as always. Good appointment wait time. Very happy cat
Always helpful and caring. Explain what and why the treatment they are offering is required and best for my dogs health.
Michael is an excellent vet he’s the reason we stay at Companion care, not so trusting on the newer vets.
I changed here because my little dog wasn't getting the care she needed where she was, and companion care have been amazing, so happy with her here
My requirement was very simple on this occasion and was dealt with efficiently and professionally by the receptionist.
