Coffeetots is fast becoming a regular place for us. The play area is fab and even though my little girl is only 6 months, the friendly and helpful staff and welcoming atmosphere makes us feel very comfortable there. We've been to the crawlers hour on a Monday morning which has been great, even though it would suit us better slightly later to fit in with nap time : Cakes are amazing carrot cake has been my favourite so far and there is a good selection of healthy and tasty sandwiches and drinks. It's in a lovely location down by the canal, so it's worth the 5 min walk from town! :
We have visited Coffeetots many times with our little boy, what a perfect location it is in. The cafe is amazing, not to mention their very polite and attentive staff! Being able to let my little boy loose in the play area, while I sat and watched drinking an amazing cup of tea. You must visit! The food is amazing and there is lots of choice for both adults and children.
Coffeetots is quickly becoming a regular place for me and my 2 kids to visit! Ive never felt more relaxed taking 2 kids out for lunch or even a breather from shopping to let the burn of energy. The food is Scrummy and the cake even nicer!!! The staff are more than helpful!! The play.area is perfect and great fun for my 2. If you have never been, your missing out!!
What a great place to go with your children. There's a safe play spot for them whilst you look on enjoying a coffee. The menu has lots of healthy choices. The service is great. Lovely place to meet up with your fellow mums.
Not great. Luke warm coffee that got fixed when we complained. Paninis with miserly fillings and salad that appeared to be past its sell-by date. Won't be going back and wouldn't recommend although pleasant canal side location.
I know a lot of parents love this place but when I visited last week I struggled to see the point. It is not uncommon to find cafes with play areas but this is the first one I've been to that wouldn't let my toddler play unless I payed £1?! This may have been understandable if I had not payed them £7.50 for food and drink already I believe it's free if you spend £10 but really if your USP is a play area for tots, why charge for it? The main part of the café doesn't appear to be particularly toddler friendly. The tables down the middle of the room are at toddler head height without corner guards and there's not that much room to run around even though it was pretty quiet. The coffee was OK and I thought the children's platters were a good idea, but it isn't a place I would go out of my way to visit again. I feel bad about posting a negative review as I really like supporting local businesses and this one is clearly trying to cater to a niche that I am part of. The proprietors have really put some thought into the children's menu and nice touches like selling duck food for the ducks just outside the door. There's also a generous space for parking prams and pushchairs.
Really good coffee - seriously excellent. It has a great little play area for the kids kept my 10mo and 2.5 yo happy. Food looks excellent although we didn't eat this time. Will definitely be back and the good reviews I heard were correct.
Lovely variety of fairly healthy food. A great set up for parents who want to entertain their children with the mostly “powered by children, not batteries” kind of toys. They even sell little bags of duck food and have playdough sessions on Mondays and Wednesday from 10-10.30am.
Very nice staff, Lovely spot great for an afternoon bite with the grandkids.
It's a lovely place with a play area for babies and toddlers, and puzzles and pencils to keep them occupied at the table. A nice selection of sandwiches and smoothies and various other things for adults and children. Friendly and welcoming staff.
