Friendly staff and good service. Dirty fries were good, the rest was average but enjoyable. Desserts looked great! Nice decor, clean and good space for children or to enjoy the outdoors, in the beer garden at the rear.
Had a great time with tasty food. The roast was great, so were the sides. Personnel was nice, they checked with us if everything is okay and we didn't need to wait at all to be noticed when we were ready to pay. The building is nice.
We went here on a Saturday evening, as a group of 12. We reserved at table before hand and they had everything ready when we arrived. To help the pub out we preordered our main courses. The staff were very friendly. When it came to our food coming out, everything was perfect and delicious. Like home made food. Definitely recommend coming here.
Not too impressed on my first visit to this place. Ordered a couple of beers Neck oil from beavertown, very tasty. Opted for the squid, portion size was an issue, only 5 small pieces. And I've not come across lumpy yellow aeoli before. Glad I ordered the slaw to act as a filler, which was fresh and crispy. All in all, woefully overpriced for the fare on my plate.
A beautiful pub with very friendly and accommodating staff, very fair priced, delicious food. I highly recommend it!
Excellent food and excellent service. Both the presentation and the food were amazing and the staff were polite, friendly and always on hand should anything be needed. The pub itself was clean and well presented. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this place to others.
Excellent food and friendly customer service. Have been a few times for the Sunday roast which was delicious, good portion size and we had extra gravy given when requested. I also really rate the usual pub grub here - the ham egg and chips are delicious. The chips are perfectly cooked and really tasty. All round a great place to eat.
Nice little pub, flat ceiling so sounds noisy while sat down. Went for a Sunday roast which was lovely, took awhile to be served the courses, busy on the day & lack of kitchen staff was the reason. But the roast was worth the wait & we left feeling full, bar staff friendly & helpful, dog friendly too.
The worst lunch experience ever. Annoying seeing as though my partner works away alot so this was supposed to be a nice lunch together on a rare day off. Thought we would try somewhere new but won't be going back there. Ordered a steak and specifically asked if they did peppercorn sauce. Food took 45 mins to come on a quiet lunchtime while we froze as no effort was made to light the fire. It was as cold as being outside which is -2. Was told once food came They don't actually have peppercorn sauce. No real apology or offer of a alternative meal or discount. Steak was overcooked. Worst steak I've ever had. Had to eat with my coat on as so cold. Then had to ask for a discount on the bill as would of got something cheaper than a £22 steak if they didn't have sauce. I was given a massive £2.20 off!!!! The waiter was about as lively as a snail!!!
Had my birthday meal here. Was absolutely amazing. Staff were friendly polite and nothing was too much trouble. Lovely pub clean and wonderfully decorated and very welcoming. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
