Staff very nice, bed comfortable room a good size. Shower needs a bit of attention : grouting, tile hanging off and shower door very difficult to shut. Should also mention on the net that they do not serve food on a Monday night, after a four hour drive we had to go out again to eat! And dont forget to turn on the sign at night or impossible to find!
Oh we loved this place. A nice pub with 17th century rooms attached all of which has been swallowed up by a modern housing estate. We loved our room with creaky floorboards and its continental breakfast. Amazing front door!!! Recommend over the bland Premium Inns of this world. Good value too. DONT listen to the wingers below always looking for perfection, this is more than adequate.
Love the Sunday carvery here, that's the best bit about the Langley. Decor very out dated, smells old too. Friendly staff and good atmosphere.Service: 3/5
Very underrated, brilliant steaks, perfectly cooked chips, decent prices. This is a proper local independently owned diamond in the rough!Service: 5/5
Friendly welcome when I entered. Pleased with the burger would give that a close 5 stars. Bedroom was comfy , shame I had to listen to the cellar/ beer pumps air con running all night. As I have previously owned a Cleaning company I would say carpet in room 7 could do with a deep clean and attention needed to do a deep clean in bathroom on grout and around shower. Breakfast was served on time with a good self service choice and I had paid the small extra of £5 for a cooked breakfast which I was happy with worth the extra. So would have rated if room had been a touch cleaner and had been aware of air pumps
The food was beautifully cooked for our evening meal and the service was excellent and friendly too.Rooms: 5/5
Sunday roasts carvery is absolutely amazing! Highly recommended! Beer is good and cheaper than most pubs. And the staff are friendly.Rooms: 4/5
My wife and her mother made a reservation there and had to cancel due to cancelled flights, after being stranded at 2 different airports and unable to make it… even tho she explained the situation and cancelled 72hrs before they refused to even make a gesture on the cancellation fee and it had to be paid in full. A bit tough when most of us are facing financial struggle.
Ok so, I am hard to please so bare that in mind lol. Rooms were basic but comfortable, set in what looks like a converted church so quite quirky feel to it. Pub next door is great, the food even though not a great selection and what I wanted was not available is really good quality and felt home made, I was really impressed for the price. It has a covered outdoor bit with TV and heaters so this is great if u smoke or want to sit outside but sheltered. The location, feels a bit like your driving into someones house on an estate to begin with, and you can see the estate houses from the room we were in so not great for views, but we didnt stay there for that purpose. We simply needed a place to stay. Breakfast is ok, not a huge selection of the continental type but enough to eat. There is the option to upgrade to a full english but we didn't do that so can't comment on that. The breakfast room is small and cosy and in the same building as the rooms so convenient. Price for one nights stay plus continental brekky was £75 so I'd say it was good value. Pub food was good price, and drinks were good prices too. Rooms: Basic but comfy and clean Food & drinks: Excellent price, very tasty.
A beautiful place. Obviously it was there before the new estate went up around it, but makes no difference. Very quietRooms: 5/5
