My first visit for many years - with friends too. We were all impressed with our meals! Delicious! My roast turkey was complete with cauliflower cheese and crispy Yorkshire. Really tasty, and so reasonably priced! Service was brisk, staff polite, 10 / 10 recommended!
I work in the area for 2/3wks at a time, the Mrs made the effort to drive the 2hrs to visit, and so I booked a table here. Although very busy, we were sat within minutes, and received great food. We never have a dessert but did on this occasion, as the starter and main didn’t let us down. Thank you to Laura and the gang for great service and food. We will be back ….
First time visit here to eat and have to say food was delicious and at such an affordable price. We chose from the Festive menu £19.99 for 3 courses. Staff were lovely and thoroughly had a lovely family time.
Had a lovely girls lunch today, food was delicious as always with a surprise & welcome waitress service from Janine & Sue who were really friendly. It was an added bonus that we were able to pay separately too. Many thanks
I had to chase my food more than once and the wait was just too long… we had three children with us and this was just not good enough at all for pub such as this. There were empty tables so it’s hard to understand why we had to wait so long for our food. On a positive note the food was really good even though some parts of my meal were stone cold just not impressed at all as we had a lovely day and really wanted to end it with a lovely meal……… sad. Will not be coming back.
we go regular and have always been happy with the service and food, however we went today with two friends I had booked a table there was nobody to speak with we was just standing at the end of the bar waiting it was very busy. the poor young man was on his own behind the bar trying to do everything and one poor waitress running herself ragged! they were all lovely we waited an hour and a half for our food! not thier fault I felt so sorry for them.
Our first time here for something to eat for lunch. Was told at the bar if we sat on the left it would be table service anywhere else we need to order at the Bar. We choose to sit in the table service area. Well shouldn’t have bothered as ended up ordering our food at the bar as no staff seemed bothered we were there! The food was good but took ages to arrive even tho it was not busy and again during our meal my husband had to go to the bar to order a drink as the staff were to busy chatting to obviously regular customers. One member of staff had her break in the restaurant area not a problem but was watching something on her phone which was really loud and off putting! Shame the service was non existent as probably won’t be going back.
We had fish and chips. Well cooked and plenty big enough for a very reasonable price. No complaints about the service either. We visit the inn on a regular basis and rarely feel disappointed.
Excellent food and service, highly recommended.
Visited Monday for lunch, really nice food. Would like to single out our waitress Sue who was fantastic, so helpful, friendly and was great dealing with our needs. Thanks to you and your team.
