Fantastic food, exceptional service, cosy atmosphere and brilliant furniture, but the hot drinks were a bit of a let down. I'm unfortunately a bit snobby with my coffees and I didn't feel satisfied with the quality of my flat white pictured. However, if you can look past the coffees then this is a fantastic spot for breakfast! This would be my favourite spot if it weren't for my espresso blood. Highly recommend.

Lovely little restaurant. The food was really good, I recommend the 'All at sea' platter: mussels, salmon, cockles and prawn cocktail for 2 for only £12. Great value for money and delicious. Staff very friendly as well.
Food top class!!! Couldn't do enough to meet our needs !!! It was roasting hot the day we went we had a wheelchair and small dog with us and they were brilliant moved things around to accommodate the chair and found a table in the shade So our dog didn't get too hot !! and we had only just sat down when they brought glasses of ice cold water and a bowl of water for our dog !! Thank you so much it's the little touches that make people visit again
I'm a regular and there is a reason for that. Food is superb. If it is on the "specials" board when you visit the Smoked Haddock, bubble and eggs is so good. No dyed, cheap fish here but a gorgeous loin of lightly smoked white Haddock.
Had brunch here as a group on a hot day. Food was all nice and there is a quaint ambiance peeking out over the water. Glad we ate here and not in the hubub near central Southend. Coffee was so-so but I'm a horrible coffee snob, sorry! Overall definitrly recommend eating here
Had a lovely breakfast here this morning. Lovely food, people, service and perfect weather. Advisable to book in advance. Will definitely be returning.
I love this place. The food is always great and the staff meets you with a smile. Little gem by the sea. You even have a blanket on each chair in case it gets chilly while you sit in the open area.
Friendly staff and great food! Had the veggie coastal which was awesome - bubble n squeak, mushrooms, eggs, beans, tomatoes, washed down with a big mug of tea! Lovely!
